Ingresso lettore memorie (mmc - sd - ms)

Salve a tutti... 
Ho installato sul mio asus pro60 vc la Gusty con kernel 2.6.22-14 
Tutto ok... Tranne che l'ingresso per la lettura delle memorie non funziona, o meglio, non funziona con tutte le schede.
Le SD e le MMC le legge... Ma le MS no  ... NON HO INTENZIONE DI AGGIORNARE IL KERNEL  perchè è l'unico che mi fa girare tutti i componenti del pc.
Qualcuno sa la soluzione?

When inserting a MemStick card in my laptops card reader (Laptop being HP NC6320), nothing really happens, output from dmesg is only:
tifm_core: MemoryStick card detected in socket 0:0

I can not mount it manually either, but i found a fix on a blog:

After applying this fix, my card now automounts and shows up on the desktop.

The work around for this issue extracted from the blog:
svn co -r155 http://svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/tifmxx/trunk/driver/
cd driver/
wget http://www.tu-chemnitz.de/~sweh/tifm_ms.patch
patch -p0 < tifm_ms.patch
make
sudo make install

Su Intrepid non purtroppo funziona ma sulla precedente pare di si

Prova a formattarla da Windows in FAT (non FAT32) e poi vedi se Ubuntu la riconosce

Se vuoi risolvere devi tornare indietro alla 8.04 e dare i seguenti comandi...

Ok ok ma ascolta... Sulla 7.10 potrebbe funzionare? Dove hai preso quei comandi? Immagino in una guida... Me la indichi?
