Su Ubuntu 9.1 ho una scheda tuner TV Terratec Cinergy HTC USB XS, ID 0ccd:008e TerraTec Electronic GmbH
di cui non riesco a trovare i drive e non riesco a farla rilevare a Kaffeine.
Qualcuno sa se e' possibile in qualche modo farla rilevare?
Ho cercato, ma non sono riuscito a trovare nulla

si, si, avevo il tuner inserito, naturalmente. L'ho sempre inserito.
Ma non mi da risultati.
Avevo provato anche la guida nel post http://forum.ubuntu-it.org/index.php/topic,310711.msg2331941.html#msg2331941 anche se per un'altra scheda terratec. Ed anche seguendo quella guida non mi dava risultati eseguendo

È molto strano, le terratec si basano al 99% sul modulo di em28xx. Ma tu che versione di ubuntu stai usando?

Io ho la 9.1, direi che è l'ultima.
Su internet ho trovato questo http://linux.terratec.de/tv_en.html della terratec, dove per la mia Cinergy HTC USB XS dice: "The chipset maker has not approved to publish the source code under the GPL license. Thus, support is not possible."  Devo scoraggiarmi??

Prova a scaricare questo http://konstantin.filtschew.de/v4l-firmware/firmware_v3.tgz (da estarre) e questo http://www.steventoth.net/linux/hvr1500/, e copia i file che terminano con .fw nella directory /lib/firmware

Poi inserisci il tuner e dai

PS: perché hai ancora il kernel "vecchio"?
Io il tuner l'ho sempre collegato al computer, ma ho guardato e nemmeno io ho visto nulla con scritto terratec, comunque ho l'impressione che le prime righe del risultato di desmg non me le faccia vedere, come se fossero troppe e non mi lasciasse tornare abbastanza su. infatti non arrivo a vedere il comando che avevo digitato. (non so se sono riuscito a spiegarmi...) il Kernel non saprei. Io ho installato Ubunto facendo una partizione accanto a windows xp, ho avuto dei problemi con il grub2, risolti escludendo le UUID, dopodiche ho installato gli aggiornamenti del kernel come mi proponeva, ma al 213 di 218 si bloccava e non andava piu' avanti. Leggendo dai post ho risolto facendo l'aggiornamento manuale da terminale, che e' filato tutto liscio. Quando mi ha chiesto se sostituire il file grub che avevo modificato io ho rifiutato, per non ritrovarmi con il problama di avvio. le modifiche comunque riguardavano solo le righe che avevo modificato. Questo e' quel che riesco a dirti. Considera che sono solo 3 settimane che la sera uso Ubuntu... sono molto acerbo...
