Compiz-Fusion - Installazione da pacchetti Treviño (i386 e AMD64)

Salve sono nuovo nel forum, ho installato i driver open per la ati mobility 9000 su ubuntu 7.10 e compiz-fusion mi funziona solo a 1024x768. Se è possibile come posso fare a farlo andare alla risoluzione nativa del monitor del portatile che è 1400x1050?

Hai sbagliato sezione perchè la risoluzione non dipende da compiz  cmq puoi aumentare la risoluzione vedendo il file xorg se è settato bene per il tuo monitor altrimenti devi settarlo tu

volevo chiedervi se anche a voi spariscono i bordi delle finestre quando usate openoffice. A me capita solo con openoffice sono l'unico?c'è qualche modo per sistemare la cosa??

pure a me da questo messaggio, inoltre se faccio partire compiz tutti i bordi delle finestre si sputtanano e al posto delle ombre ci sono solo pezzi di rettangolo bianchi!!!

adesso parte, ma ogni tanto mi ritorna a metacity senza motivo....

(in compenso ho messo beryl sempre dai repo di trevi e va che è una crema....)

prova dal compizconfig-settingmanager a fare cosi:
preferenze>backend e metti flat-file configuration backend

potrebbe succedere che ti crashia compiz in tal caso devi rimettere gconf configuration backend

ragazzi una domanda
io credevo di avere compiz fusion, e infatti ho in preferenze advenced desktop effects, ho il cubo 3d e gli screenlets.
ora però volevo istallare awn, ma qui http://wiki.ubuntu-it.org/CompositeManager/CompizFusion dice di scrivere "glxinfo |grep rendering" x sapere se è tutto ok prima di istallare awn. io l'ho scritto ma mi esce:  No (If you want to find out why, try setting LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose).
com'è possibile?che significa? a dire il vero ho qualke problema,tipo se schiaccio su salvaschermo mi si riavvia il motore grafico di ubuntu....però il cubo e il resto c'è.....!

Ciao a tutti, ho un problema con Compiz. Mi pare che da quando ho disinstallato Evolution (e un pò di file riconducibili  a tale software) il mio compiz faccia un pò di storie.

In particolare, se vado sul gestorei di configurazione succede che se ad esempio vado su Selettore a scorrimento o su Selettore finestre ad anello e li spunto, dopo un paio di secondo la selezione sparisce da sola...

Ho provato a reinstallare sia Compi che emerald, ma niente. Ho anche reinstallato Evolution ma senza risultato...
Che devo fare???

Allora è colpa del tuo compiz. Tempo fa anche io avevo provato il compiz dei repo di Echelon e ho trovato un sacco di problemi e crash del sistema. Tornando alla versione 0.6.5 dei repo di Ubuntu ho risolto tutti i problemi

Vorrei segnalare che il wiki (Compiz Fusion [installazione]) ancora punta a questa discussione.
Devo fare ancora tutta una serie di controlli, ma per adesso posso dire che la pagina del wiki richiamata deve essere integrata e corretta, creandone una differente e lasciando quella intatta, perché, immagino, va ancora bene per le versioni precedenti di Compiz Fusion.
