Impossibile accedere a cartelle Samba da Windows 8

Impossibile accedere a cartelle Samba da Windows 8

ciao a tutti, spero qualcuno mi possa aiutare, che non so più che pesci pigliare :-(
Ubuntu server 14.04 lts con samba, il tutto con gli ultimi aggiornamenti installati, in rete ho 2 macchine con Windows 8.1 e una con Win 7. Con quest'ultimo la condivisione funziona, vedo le cartelle condivise e riesco ad accederci, con le macchine Win 8 vedo le cartelle condivise ma, dopo aver digitato le credenziali non sempre riesco ad accederci, l'errore dice che non ho le necessarie autorizzazioni. Con versione 12.04 lts che avevo in precedenza, invece è sempre funzionato tutto bene senza problemi, accedevo dalle stesse macchine Windows che ho adesso.
Cosa che ho notato è che durante l'avvio, compare FAIL accanto alla voce "Starting smb-cif and active directory server"

allego il file smb.conf e spero qualcuno possa darmi delle dritte

Non so che versione hai di samba: dovresti ininzitutto installare samba 4.1.7 e cosi' facendo dovresti riuscire a utilizzare in piena forma anche winzozz 8.1. Se
cosi' non bastasse ti devi scaricare i sorgenti di samba 4.2 (tra l'altro i development hanno fixato un bug relativo al login di winzozz 8.1) e ricompilare il tutto.
Per quanto riguarda quel fail dovresti scrivere i log di samba per capire meglio

 dpkg -l samba
samba versione 2:4.1.6 +dfsg i386

ho provato ad installare una nuova versione di samba scaricandola dal sito samba-4.2.3.tar.gz e seguendo la seconda parte di questa guida fino alla creazione del dominio, poi mi dava degli errori.
Fatto sta che riverificando la versione di samba, il risultato non cambia, la versione è sempre 2:4.1.6. Mi sapresti dire se c'è qualche altra soluzione?
