Ciao!

Vi prego di inserire qui le informazioni sui vostri device e di descrivere accuratamente i problemi riscontrati con i lettori musicali compatibili con il protocollo MTP.

Eseguite questo breve script per raccogliere tutte le informazioni utili sul device connesso (é necessario installare il pacchetto mtp-tools):

lsusb
mtp-detect
find /lib/udev/ /etc/ -name "*-libmtp*.rules"
NON utilizzare le vecchie versioni dei pacchetti mtp, mtp-dbg e mtp-tools, eseguire la procedura su Ubuntu 11.04 «Natty Narwhal» (preferibile) o Ubuntu 10.10 «Maverick Meerkat».

Ciao, il mio Creative Zen Touch purtroppo non riesco a connetterlo, nè con Rythmbox nè con Banshee nè con gMTP come consigliato altrove....purtroppo prendo atto che Gnomad2 è diventato obsoleto.

Il bug é stato già segnalato upstream, il device non è MTP.

Possibili soluzioni:
  • provare con libnjb5
  • aggiornare il firmware
Per la seconda soluzione bisogna sperare che Creative si sia decisa a aggiungere il supporto al protocollo MTP.

oh questa è bella!  :o
avevo avuto già delle piccole difficoltà in passato, e le avevo sempre risolte trattando lo Zen Touch come un lettore MTP!!!  ::)

anche il consiglio di Moondragon non ha funzionato.... beh, grazie dell'aiuto comunque! Io non mollo comunque  ;)

Prova con la libreria consigliata da upstream e fammi sapere.

neanche libnjb5 risolve.......
resto solo l'aggiornamento firmware da tentare, peccato che non posso fare il backup del lettore però..... :( Fortunatamente ho un backup di 6 mesi fa, tutto sommato accettabile

L'unica alternativa che posso consigliarti é prendere i sorgenti di gnomad2 da Lucid, installare tutte le build-dep (soprattutto non farti mancare libnjb5-dev) e provare a compilartelo da solo.

Il secondo consiglio di Alessio (aggiornamento firmware, solo uno disponibile ma quello giusto!) ha trasformato lo Zen Touch in un lettore MTP.....per davvero questa volta!!!  8) Il firmware è il 2.11.01 se servisse a qualcuno.

Adesso vedo finalmente il lettore in Maverick, non ho ancora fatto nulla ma adesso che c'è penso (spero  :-[ ) di cavarmela da solo.....

Io ho un Samsung S3 e con la 10.04 viene visto da Rythmbox però non è in grado di riprodurre i brani.
Prima con la 9.04 e la 9.10 funzionava.

se il problema è la libreria libmtp8 versione 1.0.2 come posso istallare la versione 1.0.3 che sembra risolvere il problema?

Su launchpad ho trovato il file .deb di questa libreria è sufficiente istallarla?

io ho provato anche usando ubuntu 10.10 con la libreria libmtp 1.0.3 ma il problema persiste.
Il lettore viene visto da Rythmbox però i brani non vengono riprodotti.
