Continuo il topic perchè non so più cosa fare. Ho provato seven per una settimana, andando a stressa il pc, a scaricare, a giocare, a tutto. Niente. Nessun problema. Ho installato a fresco Ubuntu 11.01, si blocca. Ho installato suse, si blocca. Ho installato Kubuntu, si blocca. Capita quasi a random, ma capiterà sicuramente quando guardo film (indifferente il driver che uso, che sia solo cpu o accelerazione video).

Si, ma la problematica sembra essere cambiata del tutto... ho provato ad usare anche diversi DE ma non so cosa possa essere. Su gnome shell la cpu resta non usata (almeno così mostra top), su KDE4 compaiono una dozzina di processi kworker che usano la cpu ad oltre il 100%, su openbox, non riesco a vedere, si blocca tutto e devo riavviare x da tastiera.

Stavo testando ancora il problema e controllando i log ho visto che ultimamente ogni volta che si blocca compare lo stesso messaggio in syslog

Prova a impostare un ip statico

Fatto, adesso il problema è cambiato... il pc si blocca ma non c'è alcun log che segni cosa sia successo! C'è un modo, o applicazione, che mi controlli TUTTO e mi segnali meglio ciò che stà succedendo? Non c'è la faccio più, capita SOLO con linux. E ripeto, ogni volta che passo da un os all'altro NON AGGIORNO, FORMATO IL HDD apposta.

Nessuna soluzione attuale, non so più cosa fare. Ogni volta un errore diverso, ho reinstallato ubuntu 3 volte formatando l'intero disco per non preservare configurazioni. A volte il problema e Java, altre volte è Xorg, altre GnomeShell, altre chrome, sempre diverso. Fedora è inusabile, ubuntu si blocca, debian ed arch danno lo stesso problema. Windows non ha problemi. È per caso il mondo che vuole il mio abbandono di linux? Che nervi... ultimo log:

Quale soluzione hai tentato fino ad ora?

Ho scritto su vari forum e cercato non so quanto sul web, è un problema che risale da ubuntu 0.10 o 10.04. Mi hanno fatto ricomplare i kernel, usare driver proprietari e non della nvidia, ho cambiato scheda video, ho installato su due HDD diversi linux (varie distro), ho provato a monitorare le temperature della cpu, cambiato al ram visto che i due moduli di prima erano partiti, mi hanno fatto installare arch da zero fino ad arrivare a gnome shell, ho provato ad usare solo KDE, solo openbox e solo gnome 2, ad abbiare solo LIVE diverse come fedora ed ubuntu, ad installare 32bit o 64bit. Non so più cosa fare. Non c'è una sola distro linux che funzioni. Non vado a pichignare sulle impostazioni, mi sono ridotto a non installare niente oltre ai driver nvidia, niente. Non cambia. Anche senza quest'ultimi, il sistema è instabile. E sono disperato. Solitamente i log dicevano le stesse cose ovvero SLEEP HRTIMER_NANOSLEEP oppure si cravano processi a random (dozzine) che occupavano la cpu al 100%. Negli ultimi mesi ho spaziato su tutto, da problemi con JAVA, a problemi di temperature, a problemi di Xorg, a gnome shell, a processi di KDE, tutto

Nella lista dei pacchetti ho notato la presenza di compiz-gnome. Ma compiz non era estraneo a gnome-shell che utilizza invece mutter?
I blocchi si verificano anche immediatamente dopo l'installazione di ubuntu?
Hai provato a disinstallare unity per caso?

Personalmente non ho installato niente di compiz consciamente, non ho idea del perchè sia li. I blocchi capitano a random, e si, anche dopo l'installazione fresca di ubuntu senza altro che update installato. Non ho provato a disintallare unity.
