[Install] labview 8.5 i386 per ubuntu amd64

salve a tutti,
avrei bisogno di un aiuto per l'installazione di labview. Io ho la versione 8.5 i386 che devo installare su ubuntu 8.04 amd64.
Prima cosa è possibile farlo?
Se si come?
nel mio cd ci sono file .rpm inoltre c'è una cartella bin in cui sono presenti i seguenti file:
cpio
install.norpm
rpm
rpm2cpio
rpmq
readme in cui c'è scritto:
This directory contains an installation script for use with Linux
distributions which do not use the RPM package format.

It makes use of statically linked versions of rpm2cpio and cpio
to extract the files in an rpm archive.    These programs are
licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) and GNU Library
Public License, Version 2, and may be modified or redistributed under
those terms.  The source for these utilities has not been modified
from the original and is available at ftp://ftp.rpm.org.

e Install in cui c'è scritto:
Run it from the higher directory:

$ ./bin/install.norpm labview85-core-8.5-1.i386.rpm
(omit package-file to see install parameters)

By default it will be installed to /usr/local/natinst/

If you install LabVIEW not by superuser, you should make a
directory /etc/natinst/ with priveleges on write.

To run LabVIEW:

$ /usr/local/natinst/LabVIEW-8.5/labview

Or create a symlink in one of directories from you $PATH,
for example:

$ cd /usr/local/bin
$ ln -s /usr/local/natinst/LabVIEW-8.5/labview

And further you can run LabVIEW from anywhere:

$ labview

Install other RPM-packages in the same way (using
install.norpm) for using additional instruments.
