non ho mai compreso la differenza.. me lo spiegate con le parole piu' semplici possibili?

ho appena "scoperto" sto thread molto interessante IMO :) ;
allora riguardo l' uso di un thread /post per implementare una lista ho riferito altrove che non e' la soluzione ottima ; perche' invece non fare un bel account git (per esempio in github e altrove ti piace) e lasciare al VCS(git) di implementare la lista in automatico? mantenendo pure tutto lo storico(sempre in automatico) ;) ; il thread si potrebbe usare sempre ma come posto di coordinazione mentre i post sarebbero diventati dei ci e il curatore o meglio i curatori(perche' git e' distribuito e collaborativo/cooperativo) della lista dovrebbero solo compilare un documento che riporti tutto il materiale ; che voglio dire? in poche parole una cosa del genere: https://github.com/vhf/free-programming ... g-books.md ;)

PS:
considera la cosa di su come oltre che consiglio anche come una proposta :) ; non sarebbe male se nascesse un bel progettino (ammesso che non ci sia gia' ) in cui riportare cmds o molto meglio use cases piu' o meno non banali;
potrebbe ... col tempo sfoggiare in qualche corposo pdf ;) chi lo sa ...

Specifica: manipolare (creare, eliminare ecc) un file con nome che che comincia col carattere '-'
se si tenta si ottiene un errore perche' la shell interpreta il carattere -s come fosse un opzione

LA soluzione sta nel preporre l' option '--' che significa che non ci sono altre opzioni e tutto quel che segue puo' essere considerato come nome del file

findmnt
elenca i filesystem e relative partizioni montate. Di solio in Ubuntu, Debian e derivate è presente di default (contenuto nel pacchetto util-linux)
le opzioni di visualizzazione sono:
-l elenca in formato lista ; -s elenca leggendo da fstab ; -m elenca da mtab ; -t <filesystem> elenca per tipo di filesystem
in Lucid (10.04LTS)non c'e' installato di default e sembra non ci sia neanche in util-linux

findmnt è un fantasma ma a me funziona regolarmente (Ubuntu 14.04), non mi pare di averlo installato manualmente.

@ubunuovo bisogna vedere in quale versione di util-linux è stato introdotto findmnt.
Se @harrykar usa una versione di ubuntu antecedente a quella, non vedo perché lamentarsi della mancanza, dopotutto.
Che poi non capisco l'ostinarsi ad usare una versione vecchia di 5 anni, ma quello è un caso a parte.

In util linux 2.17.2(che stanno nella lucid) non c'e' ; verificato anche da ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/utils/util-linux/v2.17/
c'e' solo findfs
Che poi non capisco l'ostinarsi ad usare una versione vecchia di 5 anni, ma quello è un caso a parte.
non cambiare qualcosa che funziona (quando non hai bisogno di altro) non e' necessariamente un male ;)

Molto più comodo di andare in alto, cliccare sul pulsantino e scegliere l'opzione giusta nella finestrella che compare.
Anche se esistono piu modi per fermare(o anche fare il reboot) il sistema(poweroff, halt, reboot, init 0) per tutti i unix-like lo standard e' usare da superuser shutdown -h now (nel caso reboot sostituire -r al posto di -h) anche se si batte qualche carattere in piu' perche' sicuramente col shutdown da parte del sistema si prendono tutte le precauzioni affinche' il sistema si fermi nel modo piu' corretto possibile faccendo il fluch dei buffers, chiudendo tutti i processi attivi, eseguendo tutti gli script di livello(per i sistemi alla sysV ) ecc ; con gli altri commandi invece cio' non e' sempre detto dipende da distro a distro

Questa http://manpages.ubuntu.com/manpages/luc ... oot.2.html e' la chiamata di sistema al kernel usata per fa ripartire , fermare spegnere il sistema dipende dai parametri che le vengono passati( per esempio reboot(RB_POWEROFF) fa il poweroff );

Inoltre quando si e' in un sistema di produzione(multiutenza) col shutdown - h +60 Chiusura per manutenzione; riapertura fra 30 minuti si da tempo agli utenti di poter uscire in tempo da cio' che facevano e si spiega il perche' dell' interruzione e il riattacco

PS:
tutto cio' a a che fare con la possibile corruzione del FS --che potrebbe portare uno stacco improvviso di alimentazione malgrado i sistemi di journaling-- e l' improvviso stop dei processi dato che si parla di sistemi timesharing multi-programmati e multiutente (Windows, MAc OS X, Linux, BSD )

considera la cosa di su come oltre che consiglio anche come una proposta :) ; non sarebbe male se nascesse un bel progettino (ammesso che non ci sia gia' ) in cui riportare cmds o molto meglio use cases piu' o meno non banali;
potrebbe ... col tempo sfoggiare in qualche corposo pdf ;) chi lo sa ...

proprio questa sera mi ha salvato la vita il terminale con una applicazione .deb che sulla 16.04 non voleva proprio installarsi da gnome software, il terminale e uno dei buoni motivi per cui non cambierò mai sistema operativo.
