Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-3000 PCI card

Problema con la scheda in oggetto. Ho seguito il linuxtv Wiki (http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/H ... V-HVR-3000) ma niente  non funziona un tubo.  Ho formattato e reinstallato parecchie volte e a installazione di Ubuntu 'pulita' con tvtime riesco a vedere e sentire l'ultimo canale visto con Sidux (montata in altro disco, per prova, e lì funziona perfettamente). . Come mai con Sidux tutto è perfetto? Dove sbaglio? (sidux dai suoi repository fa scaricare la versione di mercurial più recente, dipenderà da questo?).

dentro /usr/src e da lì ho continuato come dice la guida poi ho scelto la patch mfe, make make install tutto a posto senza errori ma.. vedo e non sento.

Per inciso ho provato con una installazione 'volante' su knoppix e anche  lì tutto perfetto, video e audio.
Questo problema è solo sulla hardy 8.04. Possibile

salve a tutti, ho provato ad eseguire la procedura del wiki però non riesco proprio a farla funzionare. kaffeine non trova nessuna scheda....

ciao janvitus, io ho proprio seguito quella guida:

# apt-get install mercurial

# make
# make install

nessun errore fino a qui. A questo punto, prima di impostare MythTV volevo provare con kaffeine, dato che è meno complesso. il problema è che non mi trova la scheda...
ho reistallato il tutto più volte, riavviato il PC, acceso un cero... ma nulla

ho provato anche a fare
wget http://dev.kewl.org/hauppauge/mfe-7499.diff
patch -p1 < mfe-7499.diff ma mi da un sacco di errori..

scusate in anticipo, ma le mie conoscenze sono molto contenute, è la prima volta che provo a configurare linux.... sono nato e cresciuto con winzoz, ahimé...

sto cercando di decodificare, non è facile ma pian paino....

solo una domanda... ma il fatto che non funzioni con la guida wiki è colpa mia o, come mi pare di avere intuito è una questione di incompatibilità di kernel?
attualmente ritrovo installato il 2.6.24-18 generic. se fosse quest'ultimo il motivo, forse qualcuno potrebbe aggiornare la guida cosi da aiutare tutti quelli nella mia condizione.
naturalmente, se riuscirò a far girare il tutto posto tutto al volo!

per vedere se qualcosa in più potevo capirci, anche se sono distro completamente diverse, ho scoperto che da poco c'è una patch nuova per v4l-dvb http://dev.kewl.org/hauppauge/ e poi anche lì mi sembra di capire che un problema può essere il kernel.

ehm, l'avevo già fatto ma mi dava qualche errore infondo alla compilazione e allora ho lasciato perdere.
Potrei riprovare con più calma, servisse a risolvere.

deve essere a questo punto solo un problema di collegare il flusso sonoro tra la scheda tv in modalità analogica e la scheda audio  visto che con kaffeine riesco a sintonizzare vedere e sentire (ma purtroppo nella mia zona con il digitale non si prendono i canali Rai).
Ma, scusa craver, tu che problemi hai? proprio nemmeno riesci a sintonizzare/vedere? e con Kaffeine?

prima avevo dentro un altra scheda (lifeview) e funzionava, magari si è creato qualche conflitto con quella vecchia. faccio un tentativo, reinstallo ubuntu

kaffeine nella fase di installazione mi trova DVB-Device:

però quando faccio ricerca canali non mi trova nulla...
