un po' mi dispiace che io non sia l'unico a soffriire con le tanto decantate NVIDIA (ho cercato apposta un portatile con una nvidia invece di una ati e me ne sto pentendo), ma alla fine, almeno così sarò un po' meno solo.
Ho appreso che:
1.il mio computer non conosce l'opzione nomodeset o i915.modeset=0
2.sia la presente versione dei driver, che la precedente vengono installate correttamente
(BREVE PROCEDURA : mettere in fondo al file blacklist.conf presente in /etc/modprobe.d i moduli citati in precedenza e riavviare (così il sistea dovrebbe usare per forza i driver intel credo, altrimenti andare in console e saltare il passaggio successivo)->premere ctrl+alt+f1->dare sudo stop gdm -> sudo sh ./NOME DEL .RUN NB:non installare il supporto per 32bit, tanto fallisce)->riconfigurare il server X (lo fa lui, dare YES alla su richiesta)->infine sudo start gdm)

MORALI:
1.nel capitolo 8 del readme dei drivers (andate sul sito nvidia) non ho trovato nulla al riguardo.
NB: ho dovuto inserire nello xorg.conf il busid della scheda nvidia, altrimenti si fermara lla parte (Primary Device is: PCI 00@00:02:0).
2.frustrato ho dato:
sudo sh ./NOME DEL RUN --uninstall
sudo mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.UFFA
sudo start gdm (riconfigura X da solo se non trova lo xorg.conf).
3.Non capisco cosa succede qui:
