Buongiorno a tutto il forum.
Dopo anni di gentoo ho pensionato la mia vecchia distro per provare qualcosa di nuovo per uso desktop, non potevo non approdare ad UBUNTU..
Vengo al dunque, ho letto molte guide, concordo con molti utenti che si "perdono" tra le guide per far funzionare beryl o compiz.
Alla fine, avendo una ATI e utilizzando un edgy ho deciso per la soluzione da titolo.
Premetto che beryl l'ho già installato su dapper con xgl senza grossi problemi, ma voglio utilizzare AIGLX su Edgy.
Quindi utilizzo i driver Radeon di xorg.
AIGLX è già in xorg, quindi ho solo modificato xorg.conf per attivarlo ed ho installato beryl, ma quando avvio beryl-manager scompaiono le decorazioni delle finestre e non funzionano ne menù ne pannelli, l'unica è Ctrl+Alt+Backspace.

Niente accelerazione, ma se avvio glxgear le rotelline girano senza problemi, inoltre avviando nexuiz nessun problema, tranne la resa delle texture, problema che tra l'altro dovrebbe essere noto.
Quindi il 3d funziona, assumo.

ProcXCloseDevice to close or not ?
A parte qualche WW va tutto benone salvo il fatto che non capisco il rapporto con il DRI
alla fine pare abilitarlo, carica anche AIGLX. Insomma a parte qualche WW sembra che tutto funzioni benone, infatti, come già detto, le rotelline in glxgear girano benissimo.Di seguito le sezioni clue del mio xorg.conf

Concludendo non so quale possa essere il problema, in teoria non avrebbero dovuti essercene, aggiungo che anche con compiz il problema rimane.
