[beryl] problemi dovuti ai driver video che ho???

è possibile che tutti i problemi che ho di grafica con compiz o beryl siano dovuti al driver video che ho??...in effetti io non ho installato nessun driver video...ho quello che mi ha messo feisty durante l'installazione....io ho un ATI ms200 o qualcosa simile sicuramente ATI......sapete dirmi se può dipendere d quello e se sapete suggerirmi qualche guida per provare ad aggiornare i driver...grazie

Ciao, la risposta alla tua domanda è Si.
La tua risoluzione del monitor è un pochino anomala 1024x768 dovrebbe essere  1024x800 almeno

Dal xorg.conf sembra che l'accelerazione 3d non è attiva, questa è necessaria per avviare  beryl.
per verificare il 3d lancia il comando 'glxinfo | grep direct'  l'output corretto è 'direct rendering: Yes'

Ti scrivo un'altro link per l'installazione di beryl, io l'ho seguito e funziona benissimo.

io beryl l'ho installato insieme ad emerald e beryl setting tramite synaptic....dici che cambia qualcosa con la procedura che mi hai dato tu?

secondo me dovresti seguire la guida che ti ho segnalato prima per installare i driver ati xchè l'xorg.conf non è settato correttamente per beryl, drovrebbe essere +/- così

nel tuo xorg  mancano le ultime righe e il driver deve essere fglrx  ti consiglio un backup di sistema prima di aggiornare i driver.

Sarebbe meglio farne uno di sitema ( se hai dati da salvare ) perchè potrebbe non essere sufficiente fare una cpia di xorg.conf per ripristinare il display se qualche cosa non và. (X ripristinare se il server grafico non funziona entra in mod text con 'CTRL + ALT + F1' )
Ti consiglio di rimuovere tutto quello che hai installato riguardo beryl , compiz  ecc ecc, e di seguire la prima guida eseguendo il 2 metodo per l'installazione della sk video e la seconda per l'installazione si beryl in una nuova sessione.

sono arrivato alla parte di RIAVVIARE del primo procedimento per i driver....tutto ok....ma quando ho riavviato tutte le finestre si aprono in alto senza che io possa spostarle....AIUTO

le finestre NON POSSO SPOSTARLE sono fisse nell'angolo in alto a sx.......la barra del titolo delle finestre non c'è addirittura mi coprono la barra principale con...sistema-applicazioni etc etc

anche questa installazione non è andata bene e il problema alle finestre è dipeso da questo.
Controlla che il file xorg.conf esista (probabilmente dopo questo errore è stato cancellato).
