Quando cerco di utilizzare il mio PC collegato ad un monitor esterno e chiudo il coperchio del laptop l'interfaccia sul monitor esterno diventa lentissima ed inutilizzabile.
Ho fatto una ricerca approfondita online e ho scoperto che questo è un problema comune a coloro che hanno una scheda grafica dedicata nel loro PC.
Ho trovato alcune soluzioni (s1 s2 ) poco eleganti che consistono nel far in modo che il sistema ignori totalmnte la chiusura del caperchio però questo da luogo a svariati inconvenienti derivanti nella gestione delle finestre e schermata di log in.
In altri forum ho trovato quella che credo sia la causa del mio problema. Qualcuno potrebbe gentilmente spiegarmi come fare a risolvere il tutto (ho già provato a googolare la soluzione ma ho trovato solo info per Arch o forum in cui altri chiedono la soluzione per lo stesso problema senza ottenere risposta). o indicarmi una guida appropriata (vanno perfettamente bene anche guide in inglese).

Inoltre vorrei precisare che avevo lo stesso problema su linux mint con una releas stabile (Ulyssia) quindi dubito fortemente che sia causato dal fatto che sto utilizzando un os in beta.
