Scheda video ATI e sensors-applet

Dopo affannose ricerche, sto per dargliela su: sensors-applet e lm-sensors non vogliono saperne di visualizzare la temperatura della mia gpu (Radeon HD 4670).
Ho trovato e scaricato sensors-applet 2.2.5, ho provato in tutte le maniere, ma non c'è verso. Con il comando 'sensors' riesco ad individuare i 4 core, gli HD, la scheda madre ed i voltaggi. Punto.

In rete ho scovato un thread, nel quale si parla di compilare sensors-applet: http://ubuntuforums.org/archive/index.php/t-952374.html
Peccato che io non abbia alcuna idea di come fare, soprattutto perchè l'autore rimanda ad aticonfig, che su questa macchina sembra fare le bizze nonostante siano in uso i drivers proprietari.

A disposizione per ulteriori delucidazioni, nella speranza che qualcuno faccia il miracolo...

poi una volta che trovi i moduli da caricare all'avvio basta che li metti in /etc/modules poi  riavvia il pc..

Non mi sono spiegato, perdonami: è proprio sensors-detect che non mi trova il sensore della GPU. Gli altri funzionano, ma quello risulta invisibile.

No, non è inutile: dopo due decenni di sistemi Microsoft, ora potrei iniziare a risentirne...

Più seriamente, sensors-detect non vede la GPU e con le mie capacità su Linux c'è poco da fare.
Il post al quale mi riferivo all'inizio riporta alla compilazione di sensors applet, in qualche modo "legata" ad aticonfig.
Io però non ci capisco una beneamata. Tu?

Io non so se ho un sensore sulla mia HD dedicata, in ogni caso non lo ha mai rivelato !

Mi è capitato di installare la applet su degli acer aspire 5738g e 5738zg e la GPU era monitorata a patto di andare nelle preferenze dell'applet e mettere la spunta sulla GPU:

Ho capito perfettamente e ti deludo subito: su sensors applet non c'è alcuna traccia della GPU, che fra l'altro non viene rilevata nemmeo da lm-sensors, a cui si rifà l'applet. Fra l'altro il sensore c'è di sicuro, perchè aticonfig lo trova e lo legge.

Oraprovo a scaricare la 10.4 dei drivers ATI, uscita l'ìaltro ieri. Poi ti so dire...

- scaricati i 10.4
- installati i 10.4
- non funziona più una fava, a partire dagli effetti visivi
- segato il driver proprietario
- reinstallati i 10.4

In un certo senso quel comando l'ho dato... intendo dire dopo aver installato i driver con l'installer *.run  (rotfl)
