[Server] Samba e file server, problemi apertura file

Salve,

ho un problemone con il mio server Ubuntu 9.1 con samba configurato come da documentazione ufficiale ubuntu.

Confgurazione rete: diversi client win xp, ed il mio server Ubuntu (fila server)

Ho fatto in modo che alcuni utenti potessero accedere ad alcune cartelle mentre ad altri il permessi r/w su tutte le cartella.

Ecco il provlema:

se da uno dei client eseguo un file (.doc, .odt, .xls, .ppt, etc) il relativi applicativo sembra avviarsi ma muore senza darmi nessun avviso; se eseguo qualsiasi altro file che sia pdf o una immagine sul client tutto ok!

sapete darmi una spiegazione e madari la soluzione ? grazie

aggiornamento:

presumo che l'errore sia nella gestione del file lock, creati da office e openoffice, infatti se creo un file .txt e lo salvo sul server nessun problema, anche se lo riapro. Confermo quindi che i problemi sono quando apro o salvo un file dal e sul server samba. Ho letto la documentazione samba al riguardo, ma evidentemente mi sfugge qualcosa. Posto il mio smb.conf:

smb passwd file = /etc/samba/smbpasswd

Anche io avevo lo stesso problema e non ti piacerà la mia soluzione.
Ho reinstallato tutto .
Adesso funziona.

solitamente il prblema avviene se i file vengono chiusi male o se sono aperti gia da un altro utente...

Verifica bene i diritti, forse non possono creare i temporanei ?

mmmmm...troppo drastico e poi se nel mio non si risolve?

cioè?...allora ho dato i permessi di rwx al gruppo che deve manipolare i file..., ho anche provato da root ma niente....

Diversi anni fa mi accadeva qualche cosa di simile perchè quando apri un file con openoffice o office viene creato nella stessa cartella un file temporaneo nascosto. Nel mio caso (non ricordo perchè ma credo dipendesse dai diritti ) quel file non poteva essere creato e il programma crashava. Forse l'editor di testo crea i file in locale per default, prova ad aprire un txt e vedi se funziona (gedit si comporta cosi non crea temporanei in remoto).

confermo che il problema è solo con openoffice, con office e qualunque altro programma funziona alla meraviglia

io lo uso con openoffice e non ho nessun problema  :-\ e comunque tutti i programmi creano file temporanei~

Si lo so che è drastico ma a me era proprio un problema di installazione infatti il server era lentissimo adesso è tutta un'altra cosa poi io lo avevo installato da poco non avevo nulla su

Si lo so che è drastico ma a me era proprio un problema di installazione infatti il server era lentissimo adesso è tutta un'altra cosa poi io lo avevo installato da poco non avevo nulla su

potreste mostrarmi il vostro smb.conf....a questo putni pensio sia qulache errore mio
