Macchina nuova, 10.04 LTS, installazione tutto ok. Riattivati tutti i servizi del precedente, tranne uno.
Lo scanner di rete.
Abbiamo una vecchia multifunzione Samsunq SCX 4216F che avevamo installato con successo sul 6.06, dando in modo a tutti i client di accedere allo scanner.
Sul sito della Samsung era scritto che non era compatibile, ma con un loro pacchetto di drivers (cdroot_tar.gz) ha funzionato per oltre 2 anni !!.
Ora però sul 10.04 non funziona (la parte stampante invece si). Ovviamente ho rifatto tutti i passaggi ( quando metto le manine sul server scrivo sempre tutto quello che faccio ), infatti

qualcuno saprebbe darmi qualche lume?
Naturalmente ho il backup della vecchia / del 6.06 e i dati coincidono
