crash al primo avvio

Salve a tutti, spero di postare nella sezione giusta.
vi spiego il mio problema, ho un fisso dell'msi di quei modelli compatti(ora mi sfugge il nome del modello)cmq ho un athlon x2 da 64bit e una scheda madre della nvidi con scheda video integrata una geforce 6150.
i problemi che ho sono due:
il primo riguarda il bios, talvolta all'accensione del pc mi appare una scritta che dice di settare la cpu frequency dal cmos setup o premere F1 per avviare in safe mode.
basta aprire il setup del bios anche senza toccare nulla uscire e il messaggio non appare più.mi è stato detto che potrebbe essere la batteria della mainboard scarica,ma aprendo il case nonb sono riuscito a localiarla...?
il secondo problema ivece è il seguent, ho partizionato l'HD con xp(32 bit) e ubuntu hardy(32bit), se alla prima accensione del pc faccio partirre ubuntu dopo la schermata con la scritta il desktop rimane arancione e non va più e devo staccare l'alimentazione, talvolta diventa tutto a righe e altre volte ancora le righe appaiono dopo che il sistema è partito se lancio firefox....?se invece faccio partire xp riavvio e lancio ubuntu questa problema non si presenta.precedentemente avevo installato la versione a 64bit ma i problemi erano gli stessi. :'(
Spero che qualcuno riesca ad aiutarmi a riguardo....grazie anticipatamente a tutti.

Per quello che riguarda il bios non è un problema di ubuntu è la batteria della mobo che si è esaurita. E' tipo quella di un orologio da polso e si individua abbastanza facilmente.
Non porta problemi a parte quello di entrare nel bios e salvare.
Per quello che riguarda il secondo problema vedi se riesci a risolvere cambiando i driver della scheda video, vedi se senza compiz dà gli stessi problemi.
Puoi cambiare i driver scricando quelli più aggiornati dal sito oppure con Envy.

sul sito trovi i driver anche per linux, leggi le guide per installarli.
Envy è un programmino che si scarica e si installa da synaptic che ti rimuove e reinstalla i driver video più adatti sia nvidia che ATI.
Per prima proverei con Envy è molto semplice da utilizzare

ho provato con envy, ho anche installato i driver più vecchi, ma il problema persiste.anche togliendo gli effeti grafici all'avvio si blocca....
ho trovato anche un'altro bug, se provo a togliere un cd o un dvd premendo il tasto sul cas il pc si blocca completamente, per estrarli devo fare espelli volume dal desktop. ???

Ci dev'essere molta incompatibilità hardwre prova a dare dmesg evei che errori trovi

ho provato anche a lanciare il live cd di madriva 2009 e pc linux ma si bloccano anche quelli, non parte neppure la versione live!

emillo sei la mia ultima speranza, sono quasi 2 mesi che cerco di risolvere questo problema ma non ne sono ancora venuto a cappo, è la prima volta che ubuntu mi da tutti questi problemi e la cosa che mi fa rodere più di tutti è che xp va!

ho trovato un' altro bug, ho provato ad inserire una chiavetta usb per il collegamento wi-fi è il pc ha fatto il solito scherzo, tutto lo schermo a righine e blocco completo.
Credo che gran parte dei problemi partano dalla scheda di rete.è possibile aggiornare i driver o fare qualcosa(qualche versione del kernel)che possano risolvere tutti questi problemi?
inoltre ho notato anche che il crash all'avvio capita solo quando il pc parte normalmente, perchè quando alla prima accensione appare il messaggio di errore relativo alla cpu frequency se entro nel bios, salvo le impostazioni ed esco senza toccare nulla ubuntu parte anche senza dover far avviare prima xp.... :-\
