crash ogni tanto su intrepid

come da titolo, oggi ho reinstallato completamente intrepid (ho formattato anche la partizione /home). Con HArdy non mi dava problemi di sorta, con intrepid va praticamente tutto (noto con piacere che ora network manager mi riconosce la chiavetta internet della vodafone), ma ogni tanto (circa 1 ora) senza causa apparente si blocca tutto e devo staccare l'alimentazione.

Ho un Dell dimension 5150 con mezzo giga di ram, 2 giga di swap e 2,8 Ghz di processore Dual-Core.
Grazie in anticipo per l'anima pia che mi aiuterà :'(

Il crash lo ho verificato anche sul CD live...

il tuo problema sembra che sia legato alla scheda video
prova ad utilizzare per il momento il modulo vesa

effettivamente avevo come la sensazione che fosse la scheda video... perciò ho installato i driver con envyng e PER ORA ancora non ho ricevuto alcun crash... però il pannello di ATI catalyst control center non si avvia (nel terminale dà uno strano errore nel file Xorg.conf alla linea 34, dicendo che "disable" non gli va a genio... xd  ::)
