salve a tutti!
io ho installato backtrack 3 final e poi kubuntu 8.10 ma al riavvio grub non mostra altri sistemi esistenti.... che devo fare?

Devi essere piu' preciso, cosa hai installato ?
Cosa hai aggiunto ?
ti da errori ?

io ho una partizione
/sda1 con backtrack 3 final
/sda5 swap
/sda3 con kubuntu 8.10

il sistema non mi da nessun genere di errore ma semplicemente non mi permette di scegliere il sistema.... come se avessi solo kubuntu...

posta menu.lst

esatto come dice njin devi vedere le entrate che ci sono nel menu.lst
ovvero se non lo sapessi...
magari se posti qui il contenuto ti da una mano anche qualcun'altro:D

Puoi postare anche l'output del comando e del file /etc/fstab?

Apri un terminale e digita:

sudo gedit

e naviga fino a menu.lst ed aggiungi

Da quello che ha scritto lui ha un hd sata..quindi questa riga " /boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/hda1 root=/dev/ram0 init=/linuxrc rw" non andrebbe bene..
forse è meglio che postasse prima l'output di fdisk -l ..

per me njin ha detto bene.

ho provato ma non funziona.... al riavvio secondo grub esiste solo kubuntu.....

spiega meglio cosa hai provato e che tipo di errori ricevi.

è questo il problema njin!!! la voce non c'e! e non c'è nessun messaggio di errore!

allora non hai modificato il menu.lst oppure non l'hai salvato.

modificato e salvato.....ho controllato

faccelo vedere anche a noi, hai due partizioni linux cosa c'è dentro.
