È da un pò che non mi apre synaptic.Se lo lancio da terminale mi dice:fabio@fabio-desktop:~$ synaptic

Ringrazio.Lo ha reinstallato immediatamente,i pacchetti da 25.000 sono arrivati a 27.224.Se  mi sapresti ddire cosa può essere successo cosi giusto per imparare

Allora credo che abbia semplicemente aggiornato la lista di pacchetti disponibile, scaricando i file indice dei repository. Puoi ottenere lo stesso risultato cliccando sul pulsante ricarica in synaptic o dando da terminale

ad ogni modo questo è un buon esempio di sources.list pulito Repository/SourcesList

Allora devo levare le 8.04:come si fa?
Perchè si deve mettere un # davanti alla linea e come si fa?

Il carattere # serve a fare ignorare quello che c'è scritto dopo.. quindi, mettendolo davanti ad un indirizzo repository, eviti che il sistema lo consideri.
Per quanto riguarda la modifica del file, devi entrare come amministratore (utente Root), quindi il comando è Una volta aperto il file, tocca a te scegliere quali mantenere o meno. Se vuoi, ti posso passare il mio file "sources.list".
