[Risolto] GRUB !!!!

Un saluto a questa comunità che seguo da qualche tempo con piacere.
Mi sono deciso ed ho installato ubuntu su un HD e Windows su un altro HD in modo da avere i due s.o distinti.
Il mio problema è che non riesco a mettere nel GRUB la richiesta di far partire anche windows.
Ho eseguito quanto viene descritto nel ripristino. Infatti prima mi partiva Windows, dopo il ripristino però mi parte solo ubuntu.
Quando sono all'accensione, alla partenza non viene visualizzato windows.
Cosa devo fare?

Grazie di avermi risposto.....
allora windows dovrebbe essere su hd0, mentre ubuntu dovrebbe essere su hd1.
Il problema, non sono stato chiaro nella richiesta prima, è che nel file menu.lst non mi da l'opportunità di scegliere windows.
Sono su due HD distinti.

nel menu.lst puoi aggiungerlo tu. però dovresti dirmi anzhe la partizione di win (del tipo hd x,y)
hd1 è l'HD, manca la partizione

Ti ho postato il contenuto del file menu.lst.
La partizione di Windows è unica in quanto sull'HD c'è solo windows.
Forse non riesco a comprendere io, sono un po' di coccio.....

argh, metti tutta quella roba tra i tag code (quelli col tasto cancelletto nel menu modifica)
allora, prova ad aggiungere al file queste righe:

Ho provato ad aggiungere quanto mi hai detto.
Ma non riesco a salvare il file.
Devo abilitare qualcosa?

Scusami Milton, ma credo di non aver capito.
Come posso diventare utente Root?
Io nella macchina come utente sono loggato come Claudio, con privilegi di amministratore, forse non per questa operazione. Vorrei entrare come root, cosa devo fare? Credo che così ci entrerò di sicuro e proverei la soluzione che mi hai dato.

devi dare da terminale il comando che ti ho dettato nel post precedente, così aprirai quel file con privilegi di amministratore.
non c'è bisogno di diventare utente root

E' vero, scusa ma quando avevo provato, avevo digita male e mi dava file sconosciuto.
Ora riprovo a fare il boot e ti dirò.
