[RISOLTO] - Grub error 17 - Cannot mount selected partition

aiuto aiuto aiuto..dopo l'upgrade non riesce più a montare la partizione con su la directory root.
come posso fare???
adesso sto usando la live. posto fstab

la partizione con la root è ovviamente /dev/sda5.
quando entro con la live la partizione non è montata in automatico ma apopena ci clicco sopra la monta come /media/disk
per favore aiutatemi sennò sono nella m****

dimmi una cosa, durante l'upgrade ti ha chiesto qualcosa a proposito del grub? per esempio se doveva aggiornare il file menu.lst?
Prova a postare il file /boot/grub/menu.lst

si mi ha chiesto di menu.lst e gli ho detto di installare la versione del manutentore del pacchetto
posto menu.lst tranne i commenti iniziali

/dev/sda5 corrisponde a (hd0,4)
prova a modificare il /menu.lst in questo modo

Felice di esserti stato di aiuto
devi tenere presente in questi casi che grub conta partizioni e hd partendo da zero, quindi ad esempio la prima partizione ad
esempio del primo disco /dev/sda sarà
(hd0,0) la seconda
(hd0,1) e così via.
Stessa cosa vale per gli altri HD, il secondo hd /dev/sdb per grub è
(hd1).
