Ciao a tutti, ho un problema da quando ho aggiornato da 8.04 a 8.10 (e da li a 9.04). Praticamente la schermata di caricamento del sistema è totalmente testuale (lista di operazioni seguite da [OK]) nonostante abbia provato ad impostare un usplash da startup-manager.
Cosa posso fare?

Puoi postare il menu.lst di grub?

Ho seguito la guida linkata, ma non si è risolto niente poiché era tutto nella norma...

Fai una prova togliendo l'opzione che ti ho evidenziato in rosso

Nulla di fatto, persiste l'avvio testuale. L'unica cosa che è cambiata è la dimensione dei caratteri  ::)

P.S.: mi ero dimenticato di dire che SOLTANTO gli usplash personalizzati non vengono visualizzati...il tema predefinito di ubuntu è visualizzato correttamente (sebbene ad una risoluzione tutta particolare  )

A nessun altro è successa la stessa cosa?

Controlla che non ci siano dipendenze irrisolte in synaptic, altre idee non ne ho.

PS: hai la firma di 5 righe e il regolamento ne permette 3 di righe al massimo.

Provvedo a modificarla subito.

Comunque le dipendenze sono tutte risolte. Per verificare eventuali problemi ho reinstallato formattando, ma il problema persiste.
