da dove ti escono le righe con map? hai un altro hd? le hai aggiunte manualmente o te le ha messe in automatico?

prova a commentarle entrambe
poi sotto la riga di chainloader  +1
aggiungi una riga con

i map li avevo aggiunti manualmente. non ho altri hd.
comunque decommentandoli e aggiungendo boot alla fine windows non avvia lo stesso.

scusa stavo riguardando adesso l'immagine che hai postato (ieri?) della cartella /boot
ma quella da quale partizione l'hai presa? sda2 o sda6?

allora windows seven si trova in sda6 e la cartella /boot in sda2.

ho cercato un po' in giro, e non ho ancora trovato notizie di un'installazione su partizione logica che sia funzionata

per scrupolo, modifica nel menu.lst
rootnoverify  (hd0,5)

se hanno risolto, grande passo per win  (beh, un po' di ritardo..)

la mia installazione di windows 7 su partizione logica funzionava una bomba prima di installare ubuntu! 

ora provo se funziona questa modifica!

adesso con rootnoverify  (hd0,5) mi dice:

Error 12 : Invalid device requested

mentre se rimetto rootnoverify  (hd0,2)
(la partizione contenente quella strana cartella Boot)
mi dice:

Starting Up ...

ma non si avvia niente.

a me sembra strano un po' tutto.. ma qui mi fermo, di più non saprei cosa dirti
fosse il mio pc proverei a reinstallare seven in partizione primaria, magari risolve tutto

però vedi tu, magari se aspetti consigli migliori qualcuno ti sa indicare

scusate ma il map sapete a che serve? ???
con quel comando di metal gli dici che hai windows 7 sul secondo hd (che tu non hai), e il grub di linux che hai sul primo hd ne cerca un secondo quando vuole lanciare win..
dare comandi a caso per forza non risolve

e dopo # non ci sono guide, ma righe che non vengono eseguite (o commenti)

oggi ho installato windows 7 su partizione primaria, poi ho reinstallato grub, ho riavviato e selezionandolo dal menu di grub finalmente si avvia!  (good)

quindi era un problema di windows che ancora non si avvia da partizione logica.  (bad)
