Gestore aggiornamenti non trova aggiornamenti e audio basso

Ciao a tutti!
La scorsa settimana ho deciso di aggiornare il mio intrepid a jaunty attraverso Gestore aggiornamenti. Tutto è andato liscio...apparentemente. Infatti, la prima cosa che ho notato è che il volume di sistema è più basso rispetto a quando avevo intrepid, per carità niente di troppo grave lo tengo al massimo e sento bene. Anche se non capisco come mai ci sia stato questo "calo" rispetto alla versione precedente...
Invece, il problema grave è che Gestore aggiornamenti non mi trova, appunto, aggiornamenti! Lo apro, faccio verifica, digito la psw, legge i 92 pacchetti e poi mi dice che le informazioni sono state aggiornate, ma è da quando ho fatto il passaggio che non mi ha trovato alcun aggiornamento e so per certo che ce ne sono stati in questi giorni.
Ho anche provato a confrontare la mia source.list con altre e in effetti ho notato come mancassero gli indirizzi di update, ma una volta inseriti e salvata la lista non è cambiato niente! Continua a non trovare aggiornamenti :'(

Grazie Alessio per la tua risposta. Ho fatto come dici ma ha fatto tutto ma non ha trovato niente...
Purtroppo sono sicura che aggiornamenti ce ne sono stati perchè il mio ragazzo ne ha ricevuti diversi in questi giorni e non ha repositery aggiunti solo quelli ufficiali...
Perciò deve esserci qualcos'altro che mi sfugge, ma non essendo un'esperta di ubuntu, non so proprio cosa possa essere... :-\

guarda in Sorgenti-Software-Aggiornamenti-Aggiornamenti per Ubuntu se sono spuntati,se lo sono dimmi quali si, e quali no.

Allora sono spuntati solo i primi due, ossia aggiornamenti di sicurezza importanti e quelli raccomandati (che sono gli stessi che ha spuntato anche il mio ragazzo), mentre gli aggiornamenti proposti e quelli non supportati sono senza spunta...

giusto per provare, metti la spunta su i non supportati,e vedi se ti trova aggiornamenti,se li trova non sei obbligata a farli,basta che togli la spunta da quelli che ti propone e non li fai.

Ok, ho spuntato sia gli aggiornamenti proposti che quelli non supportati.
I pacchetti sono passati a 112 e ha trovato molti aggiornamenti ma solo di quelli proposti, solo che è venuta fuori la richiesta di fare un avanzamento parziale (che è la prima volta che sento nominare)...che significa ciò?

ti ho detto di mettere la spunta sui non supportati non sui proposti,comunque togli la spunta e non farli,e togli la spunta anche da Sorgenti-Software per quanto riguarda i proposti, i non supportati puoi lasciarli,come vedi il Gestore-Aggiornamenti funziona se no, non ti avrebbe trovato neanche i proposti, e probabile che su l'altro pc ci sia del software che tu non hai e che andava aggiornato.

Per assurdo se avessi spuntato solo i non supportati non avremmo visto che qualche aggiornamento lo vede :P
E sempre per assurdo sono io ad avere dei repositery in più rispetto al mio moroso.

si,ma per assurdo in non so, se tu sai cosa sono i proposed, e se,sempre per assurdo aggiornavi e non ti funzionava più il pc?
il fatto che su il tuo pc ci siano dei repo in più non significa che per forza tu debba avere più aggiornamenti,ciò non esclude che sul tuo pc ci possa essere qualcosa che non va,anche se, non saprei cosa. :-\

Si si, so che è più sicuro non installare gli aggiornamenti proposti e infatti comunque non ho installato niente di ciò che ha trovato
Verissimo anche che il fatto di avere più repositery non significa avere per forza più aggiornamenti, ma caspita averne almeno tanti quanti....per esempio oggi ha trovato 8 mb e io niente....è per questo che ho chiesto aiuto qui :-[

Buongiorno!
Ringrazio ancora Alessio per la sua consulenza di ieri, ma non è che magari c'è qualcuno che sa dirmi come fare per avere anche io gli aggiornamenti?
Altrimenti l'unica cosa che mi rimane da fare (evitando la formattazione) è fare il downgrade a intrepid e riprovare poi l'upgrade a jaunty, sperando che le cose vadano bene e non si verifichino ulteriori problemi....
