è da giorni che non ricevo notifica degli aggiornamenti... inoltre se provo dal terminale o dal gestore aggiornamenti mi dice:

ho fatto l'avanzamento dall 8.10

Se non ho letto male hai la 9.04. Ho avuto lo stesso problema con l'avanzamento da 8.10 a 9.04 ma sulla scheda grafica!! :'(
Non mi funziona più compiz. A volte gli avanzamenti provocano gran casini

Hai controllato le repository?

il casino forse è nei sources.list....

inoltre prima del login mi è apparso un mess d'errore perchè mi diceva che non riusciva a caricare il tema human circle..nessun file o directory..???

Vai su sistema amministrazione, sorgenti software, aggiornamenti..che hai di selezionato?

sono semplicemente dei repo che non sono piu raggiungibili,magari è solo una cosa momentanea...da quanto tempo ti dà questo errore?

anche qui è tutto a posto..non saprei sinceramente in che altro modo aiutarti.. :-\ è strano..prova a continuare a dare un occhio sul forum!magari trovi qualche discussione gia aperta che ti puo aiutare..

da 5 giorni più o meno...cioè da quando non ricevo più notifiche di aggiornamenti o quando provo ad aggiornare da terminale...

per risolvere l'errore devi commentare queste righe nel tuo sources.list:
