(Risolto) PROBLEMI CON GRUB AL BOOT

ciao a tutti
ho deciso di cancellare xp dal pc sostituendolo con kde 4.2
tutto ok perchè non mi ha toccato ubuntu, però durante l'installazione mi ha dato un errore nell'installare il grub forse perchè già presente :-\
ora infatti è come prima e mi da l'opzione per xp.
come la cambio con quella di kde ???

cambiando ubuntu con kubuntu (sciccheria) metti il kernel e l'intird giusti e la partizione root e uid corretti... se dai

forse trova da solo
con sudo update grub mi dice comando non trovato ::)
non saprei dove andare a prenderli il kernel e le altre opzioni giuste...mi aiuti??

Ci mancherebbe! Ero intervenuto solo perché pensavo te ne fossi andato......... eppoi c'è qualcosa che non mi torna.
L'uuid di sda1 è lo stesso che c'è ora nelle righe del menu.lst postato, solo che sono riferite a (hd0,2) ovvero ad sda3 ..... boh!

no allora non te l'ha trovato, forse mi sbaglio oramai sono abituato a grub2... comunque usa la via manuale allora

no ti ho pur spiegato, metti quelle righe è molto semplice
kernel e initrd li trovi nella /boot di kubuntu
la partizione la vedi con sudo fdisk -l (ovviamente la traduci in "hd0,0" o quel che è)
l'uuid lo vedi con ls -l /dev/disk/by-uuid/
molto semplice

ok si però sono io che ho qualche problema
il boot di kubuntu non cè lo (yes) (ho installato kde 4.2 dal cd e mi sembra sia opensuse 11)
per la partizione ok
l'uuid invece mi da questo

ah ok, avevi detto solo kde pensavo a kubuntu, fa lo stesso comunque, al posto di scrivere kubuntu metti opesuse o quello che vuoi

l'ultimo problema che mi sorge è questo: kernel e initrd
ho guardato nella cartella boot ma non cè niente che centri con kde :-\

ma devi guardare nella cartella /boot di suse lì vedi la versione dell'initrd e del kernel

si infatti vero. me ne sono accorto dopo aver scritto
:'( però non sono ancora riuscito a sistemare
ho riprovato anche reinstallando con il cd di kde ma quando arriva a parlare di boot da errore: "impossibile selezionare la partizione"
ps. manualmente le sto provando un pò tutte
per la partizione

Le voci nella tabella delle partizioni non sono nello stesso ordine del disco
è la sda2 e come la traduco??
