Failed to fetch (aggiornamenti e installazione nuovi programmi) Ubuntu 10.10

Ciao a tutti!  :)
Non riesco più ad effettuare gli aggiornamenti né a scaricare alcuni programmi, il problema è sempre il seguente:

Failed to fetch http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/u ... .1_all.deb 404  Not Found [IP: 91.189.88.46 80]

Ho fatto una ricerca e ho provato a fare quello che viene indicato in questo tread ma non ho ottenuto alcun risultato:

Come mai? Dove ho sbagliato o forse saltato qualche passaggio?

PS,
quando copi il contenuto, selezionalo tutto e poi premi il bottone "#" quello sopra le faccine

Grazie Lorem, credo di aver risolto.
Ho apportato diverse modifiche alla connessione internet (non solo al DNS) e adesso sembra funzionare.... (good)
