installazione a metà

Salve. Io ho eseguito l'avanzamento di versione da 11.04 a 11.10. Sembrava andasse tutto bene. Però, aprendo compiz manager tutto si è bloccato. Ho spento il pc di forza e riavviato. Adesso, non funziona più niente. C'è in alto una barra scura con le opzioni per la scrivania. Tutto qui.
Esiste un sistema per risolvere la questione, senza reinstallare?

Non so ..... ma mi sembra che alcune funzioni di Compiz siano incompatibili con Unity

Allora, se clicchi contemporaneamente ctrl+alt+1 riesci ad accedere ad un terminale?
Se si, prova a dare da lì i comandi

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get remove compizconfig-manager
Se no devi procurarti un livecd di Ubuntu e mettere a posto da lì...
Oppure al login prova a cambiare ambiente grafico..

Onestamente, il terminale mi dice che non trova il pacchetto. Ho provato a passare a 2D e adesso sembra funzionare. Tuttavia, avevo provato ad entrare in modalità ripristino provando a riparare i pacchetti danneggiati, ma il terminale diceva che era impossibile.
Adesso, tutte le volte devo scegliere questo ambiente?

Ho sbagliato pacchetto
Se sei connesso ad internet puoi reinstallare da console tutto il desktop:

sudo apt-get remove ubuntu-desktop && sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop
Prima però fai un bel back-up

Ho provato a lanciare una shell al login e da lì sudo apt-get -f update. Mi dice che non riesce a risolvere gli indirizzi di alcuni repositories. Fra l'altro, fra gli indirizzi vedo anche un "maverick" che forse non ci dovrebbe stare.

Ragazzi avrei lo stesso problema!
In realtà sono stato un po' più fortunato dato che l'installazione quando si è interrotta era già all'80% circa... funziona più o meno bene.
Non tutto però è a posto...
! Esiste un modo per reinstallare/correggere i possibili "danni"?

@davidebond: apri un terminale e scrivi: sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list e cambia tutte le ricorrenze di Maverick in oneiric salva e dai: sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Niente da fare. Ho provato ad aprire una shell al login. Ho lanciato sudo -s e poi "apt-get update". Questo è il risultato (che ho salvato su un file):

Fatto. Mi dice che una chiave non è valida. Ho rifatto il processo di cui sopra con apt-key. Ma senza successo. Non vorrei re-installare il sistema perché ho molti programmi installati manualmente.
