Salve,
sul mio pc ho installato sia win xp che linux.
Ieri mentre ero su linux mi si è crashato il sistema e l'unico modo è stato spegnere il pc dal tasto di spegnimento.
All'avvio, il grub mi permette di selezionare fra winxp e linux.Se seleziono winxp tutto ok, se seleziono linux ho questo errore:

e ho fatto partire il pc in modalità live.
Ho aperto una shell da terminale e ho digitato
sudo fdisk -l
ma ho ricevuto il seguente output:

Come suggerito nella discussione allegata ho
guardato le partizioni che sono Lunix (ma non Linux swap): in questo caso sda5 e sda6

Quando provo ad eseguire il comando sulle due partizioni linux
ubuntu@ubuntu:~$ sudo fsck -yv /dev/sda5

si ha il seguente output:

fsck from util-linux 2.19.1
e2fsck 1.41.14 (22-Dec-2010)
fsck.ext2: No such file or directory while trying to open /dev/sda5
Possibly non-existent device?

e lo stesso se lo eseguo su sda6

modifica il titolo del primo post aggiungendo (2 dischi in raid) in modo da attirare l'attenzione di esperti di raid

Spero qualcuno possa aiutarmi perchè non ho proprio idea di come risolvere!!!

Tramite live cd
sono andata tra le devices e mi vede il disco di linux montato, ma quando ci clicco mi dà questo errore:


"DBus error org.gtk.Private.RemoteVolumeMonitor.Failed: An operation is already pending"

Finalmente ho risolto.
Spero a qualcuno possa essere utile:

Avviate il CD di installazione di Gentoo e appena appare la schermata di grub che chiede quale kernel avviare digitate la seguente riga di comando:
gentoo doscsi dodmraid nologo

Dopo il boot verificate con
dmesg | less

Controllate se vi sono errore, se non c'è nè
Se non vedete nulla in /dev/mapper tentate a forzare il caricamento di dmraid con
dmraid -a y

Se uno dei 2 metodi rileva le 2 partizioni (boot e root) tentate fsck su entrambe.

Per ogni partizione fate
kfs repair -L /dev/mapper/partizione

poi
mount /dev/mapper/partizione /media/gentoo

controllate il contenuto in /media/gentoo

umount /media/gentoo

Ho fatto il reboot e funziona tutto!!!
