[Boot] Startup manager con windows

ciao a tutti,
io ho installato correttamente sia ubunt 11.10 e windows 7, poi ho installato startupmanager su ubuntu e ho impostato windows come il primo sistema. Dopo circa un paio di settimane, da solo come prima voce nella scelta del boot usciva memtest, allora sono andato sempre su startup manager ho rimesso windows 7, però adesso quando accendo mi esce come prima voce ubuntu 11.10.

startupmanager non funziona con l'ultima versione del grub, quindi devi

con

Usciva memtest perchè si è installato un altro kernel e bisognava aumentare il valore in GRUB_DEFAULT di 1 (NON DIMINUIRE!)

Oppure basta in /etc/default/grub sostituire il valore default= 0 con "Nome_entrata windows"

Così è illeggibile, metti tutto come codice (tasto #)!

Sostituisci in /etc/default/grub la dicitura GRUB_DEFAULT=0 con GRUB_DEFAULT="Windows 7 (loader) (on /dev/sda1)"

significa che qualunque numero ci sia devi sottrarre 1, quindi 5 invece che 6, comunque è preferibile la soluzione di z_owl

Se gli usciva il memtest doveva aumentare, cmq buono a sapersi che si può mettere anche il nome della voce così si dovrebbe risolvere anche in caso di cambiamenti nel numero delle voci del grub, giusto?

non gli usciva il memtest, leggi bene

..... allora sono andato sempre su startup manager ho rimesso windows 7, però adesso quando accendo mi esce come prima voce ubuntu 11.10.

il 5 corrisponde a win, il 6 fa andare all'inizio

Mi sembra che comunque in /etc/default/grub devi mettere "Windows 7 (loader) (on /dev/sda2)"

ma dev/sda2 io lo vedo già nella schermata iniziale...è una partizione di 100mb con dei file ripristino w7
