La swap l'avevo creata di 4gb, forse non e attiva? Strano perché qualcuno nel canale irc ubuntu mi aveva detto che era attiva ma non la stavo usando perché in quel momento il sistema non la richiedeva.
Ho una scheda audio attaccata ad una multi usb esterna,perché l'ingresso jack cuffie si e rotto dall'interno. Le 2 uniche periferiche usb non funzionano bene dovrei farle risaldare, mi si scollegano spesso da sole. Per virtualbox non saprei, ho provato ad installare per prova altri sistemi linux ma ho sempre problemi, ma mi hanno anche detto che con la mia ram gira male il sistema virtualizzato, quindi se e cosi posso disinstallare vb. Uso ipv4 con indirizzi opendns.
Non ne capisco molto se serve ipv6. Consigliami tu.
la swap la vede ma al riavvio vedo la swap disattivata, non capisco. Poi ho cercato un po in rete per capire del ipv4 e ipv6 ho trovato questo articolo non so se e ancora valido visto che e del 2011, come devo fare per passare al ipv6 ? https://www.chimerarevo.com/internet/ip ... ntu-31495/
per riattivare la swap all 'avvio devi editare il file fstab
decommentando la riga relativa ed inserendo il corretto UUID dopo la riga "# swap was on /dev/sda3 during installation"

per l'ipv6 devi sapere tu se lo usi o no, nel dubbio lascialo attivo.
In generale vedo che il tuo pc non è messo benissimo si a livello hardware sia a livello software (ci hai un pò pasticciato) quindi il fatto che si lento all avvio ci può anche stare.

Per quanto riguarda ipv6 mi indichi una guida come configurarla? non ci capisco niente di queste cose.

Sono riuscito a cambiare uuid in fstab aprendo nano, ho salvato e riavviato , ho visto con swapon -s ora cè , il problema mio rimane sempre quei 3 min e mezzo di boot ed al login ci mette un po prima del desktop.
per vedere se cè qualche altro servizio che rallenta il boot

il boot chart indica un valore di avviamento di 16 ms ma graficamente sembra che non si avvii proprio (colore rosso fisso), o è un anomalia del bootchart o è la causa dell'avvio lento.
guardando meglio in basso ci sono servizi che partono tardissimo , uno fra questi l'ultimo è sempre quello relativo alla scheda audio esterna, sicuro che senza di essa l'avvio non sia più rapido?
Anche la tua home (che hai su una partizione separata) sembra venga montata tardi intorno ai 140 sec (circa 2 minuti e mezzo)

il problema è identificare qual è il processo che ritarda tutto il resto .
riposta anche il contenuto di "/etc/fstab"
prova anche a reinstallare virtualbox che dava un errore in dmesg.
Per ora non mi viene in mente niente altro.
