cartella /var/log in continua crescita

Salve,
dopo che ho installato ubuntu 18.04 (stampante e software) mi esce un messaggio del sistema che non ho + spazio.

HD 50 GB
Swat: 4Gb kern

mi ritrovo con HD: 0.00 GB :muro:

Dentro la cartella /va/log ci sono dei file di log che crescono sempre (syslog e kern.log).
Ho visto che anche altri hanno avuto questo problema ma non sono riuscito a risolvere.

con un comando penso di aver risolto ... controllo domani se non crescono più...

Ho pulito la: dmesg --clear
E adesso eseguento: dmesg mi da tutto vuoto ...

Grazie siete grandi e io alle prime armi con linux ... :)

Già che ci sei oulisci anche syslog e kern

sudo tee syslog /dev/zero
e poi l9 interrompi dopo qualche momento con ctrl+c.

Stessa cosa con kern.log

Fatto, lavora sempre ... dopo un 10 secondi li ho interrotti ... tanto per sapere a che è servito ?

Ha azzerato il syslog. Te lo avevo detto che lo dovevi interrompere manualmente.
Fai lo stesso con kern.log .

Hai infilato, nella stessa discussione, due problemi che non sono (se non capisco male io) neanche lontani parenti: ACPI e logrotate. Direi che, per risolvere, devi riparare il secondo. Fai qualche ricerca, è un tema piuttosto trattato

blocca il crescere dei file syslog e kern.log poi ho eseguito:

e mi riporta i 2 file (di parecchi GB se passa molto tempo) a pochi kb.
Eseguendo [dmesg --clear] e poi [dmesg] esce:

Ma dopo che riavvio Linux ricominciano a crescere e devo rifare ogni volta la stessa procedura.... :(

Quelle righe che hai postato sono relative al firewall e dubito che abbiano a che fare col tuo problema. Su cui comunque io non so aiutarti ma, secondo me, l'unico modo che hai mentre combatti (forse inutilmente, è famigerato) con acpi perchè la smetta, è far funzionare logrotate, oppure avviarlo manualmente con cron ogni X minuti/ore per evitare la saturazione.
Il comando dovrebbe essere

sudo logrotate -f /etc/logrotate.conf
dove l'opzione -f forza la rotazione di tutti i files, anche se non raggiungono i criteri. Se cerchi logrotate con google trovi molte risposte, vedi te

Ho provato il comando, ma nulla ... i file crescono sempre, devo dare sempre:

[echo "disable" > /sys/firmware/acpi/interrupts/gpe6F]

Io personalmente non sono capace di indagare sulle cause del mancato funzionamento di logrotate e, per questo lascio la parola a maggiori intenditori, oppure documentati su internet.

Comunque dalle letture dei tuoi log, sembra che tu abbia qualche anomalia con il firewall, che traccia log atipici.

Prova a postare l'esito del comando:

E vediamo se hai impostata qualche regola strana.

@pippo_79 hai aperto delle porte sul router (port forwarding/port mapping/virtual server) per qualche software di peer to peer tipo aMule? Output di questo?

sudo ufw status verbose
ufw è solo un interfaccia grafica basata su iptables. l'output verboso di iptables è più dettagliato di ufw.

Tutte le connessioni in entrata vengono ignorate, ma loggate, ecco spiegato il motivo della crescita anomala del file di log. Lo hai modificato tu stesso il firewall? E, se si, perchè?
