ho aggiornato al kernel -15 ma devo accedere col -13

Ho aggiornato tramite il terminale al kernel -13. Il fatto è che per avere kubuntu funzionante devo accedere nel grub lo stesso col kernel -11 perchè altrimenti col kernel -13 mi accede solo come terminale in tty2...Inoltre volevo testare i nuovi driver Nvidia 190 ma non mi permette di installarli perchè non trova il kernel source...che fare???

La storia del tty non l' ho capita..ma forse volevi dire che non sono installati i kernel-headers, non i kernel-sources, che naturalmente devi installare per poter compilare i drivers. Ti basta installare i kernel-headers per la versione 13..tutto qua.

in poche parole il tty2 è la schermata che ti appare se premi ctrl+alt+f2...A me dal menù grub mi da direttamente quella schermata se seleziono il kernel -13. Il bello è che se accedo selezionando dal grub il kernel -11, che funziona, quando vado a vedere che kernel ho installato mi dice che ho il -13....

Anche io ho avuto lo stesso problema con kde 4.3
Ho risolto installando wicd.
Il NM non mi va molto a genio.

hai già reinstallato i drivers sull'ultimo kernel?

se ti riferisci ai drivers nvidia, non ci dovrebbero essere problemi con l'aggiornamento alle minor release dei kernel.

Se hai installato i drivers scaricati dal sito nvidia ad ogni aggiornamento del kernel devi reinstallarli, ma è una operazione che porta via pochissimo tempo.

Oggi mi ha aggiornato di nuovo il kernel...nella lista degli aggiornamenti disponibili c'era il linux-image.......-15, linux-headers-.....-15 etc etc...L'ultima volta che ho avuto questo problema e mi si aggiornò il pc passai ad utilizzare il kernel più aggiornato in automatico, ma questa volta no...Non ho idea di come fare a risolvere questa cosa anche perchè non riesco a installare i Driver nvidia nuovi dato che mi dice che c'è un problema col kernel source... >:( >:( >:(
