spegnimento pc

Ciao a tutti,
ho un problema con la gutsy, ma ke era già presente con la 7.04. Ho aspettato a postare il problema pensando ke l'aggiornamento a gusty lo risolvesse, ma cosi nn è stato. In pratica, quando spegno il pc, questo nn si spegne: fa la sequenza normale di spegnimento, si spengono i led presenti sul case ( quello del power e l'altro ke indica attività dell' hd ) ma sento ke la ventola del processore rimane a girare.
Avete qualke idea sulla problematica e sulla possibile risoluzione??

ragazzi ho provato..nn funziona putroppo..tra l'altro il file da modificare era vuoto.c'entra qlc??
Aspetto altre possibili soluzioni..

Prima di tutto fai il backup del menu.lst
Codice: Seleziona tutto
sudo cp /boot/grub/menu.lst /boot/grub/menu.lst.bckp
per ripristinarlo:

sudo cp /boot/grub/menu.lst.bckp /boot/grub/menu.lst
Apri il file con:
al quale dovrai aggiungere
a tutte le stringhe "kernel generic" e NON (recovery mode) dopo "ro quiet splash"
questo:
Alla fine del file aggiungi:
Salva e chiudi.

apm serve per lo spegnimento automatico del pc.

I punti in cui l'hai scritte sono giusti e anche il resto.
Correggi e poi controlla se si spegne normalmente.
In ogni caso al riavvio del pc dovresti riuscire a leggere , nel bios, poco prima che cominci a caricare L'OS, una stringa. Non hai molto tempo dura pochi istanti.
La mia era tipo ...ACPI=force is required to enable ACPI.

anche in fondo al file.
Se non dovesse andare nemmeno questa proviamo con un'altra...
Edit: per cortesia vorrei che mi postassi di nuovo il menu.lst

Ma è quello con l'ultima modifica?
Perchè vedo alla voce kernel "acpi=force"
e in fondo al file invece" acpi=off"

Deve essere acpi=off sia alla voce kernel che alla fine del file.
