Problema Adept manage packages

Ciao ho un problema con Adept manage, ogni volta che tento di aprirlo mi compare questo messaggio:

You will not be able to change your system settings in any way (install, remove or upgrade software), because another process is using the packaging system database (probably some other Adept application or apt-get or aptitude). Please close the other application before using this one.

a me non sembra di aver attivo nessun altra adept apllication
come posso risolvere?

e killa ogni processo inerente (kill numero_processo)
poi fai partire nuovamente adept

Scusa ma sono novellino di linux.. io inserisco ps -e | grep adept ma non mi da nessuna risposta.. e poi come funziona kill numero_processo?

se non ti dà alcun processo non so che dirti
e se lo lanci da terminale?
il comando dovrebbe essere
sudo adept-manager

comunque il kill è per terminare forzatamente un processo in esecuzione
ad esempio:
firefox non ti si chiude
dai il comando
ps -e (che ti elenca tutti i processi)
trovi
1234 firefox-bin
in questo caso per terminare firefox dai il comando
kill 1234

questo problema l'ho risolto ma adesso se ne presenta un altro.. ogni volta ke tento di installare un pacchetto mi compare

ho un problema simile:
con adept volevo installare il java runtime enviroment, c''è stato un problema nell''installazione, non proseguiva, allora ho chiuso.
Ora ogni volta che entro in adept o in aggiungi rimuovi programmi mi viene visualizzato

ho controllato il processtable, l''unica cosa aperta riguardo adept mi pare apt-index-watch, do da terminale kill 4276 (che è il num del processo) e mi dice "funzione non permessa"

con sudo ho terminato apt-index-watch, ma il problema persiste.

cmq il problema l''ho risolto da terminale quasi casualmente, ero partito cercando di rimuove sto Adept per poi reinstallarlo, metodo discutibile ma tantè

è successa sta roba, ho seguito le indicazioni per sto dpkg che non so cosa sia

ho provato anche da aggiungi rimuovi programmi con un programma di grafica... stesso messaggio

gli upgrade gli ha fatti però, ora si è messo a voler intsllare ancora quel maledetto pacchetto sun-java-5-jre...

nei dettagli di installazione mi chiede di accettare la licenza java, schiaccio invio clicco ok ma non succede niente, come la prima volta. Scommetto che se chiudo sto cavolo di adept poi risalterà fuori il problema di prima

allora tutta la faccenda sembra essere causata dal plugin sun java

anche qui avevano lo stesso problema.

adept non permette dia ccetare la licenza, con synaptic mi esce un errore durante l'intallazione

Io non ho rimosso/ reinstallato adept, anche perchè appena facevo per rimuoverlo, da terminale, mi partiva ancora l'installazione java

allora ho rimosso con synaptic sto maledetto plugin sun-java5-jre, e per ora mi sembra sia tutto ok (starò senza questa specie di plugin java)
