Buongiorno a tutti,

Sono nuovo di questo mondo e quindi saluto cordialmente tutti gli appartenenti al forum, spero di essere nella sezione giusta, in caso contrario perdonatemi e se necessario spostate pure.
Ho installato UBUNTU 13.10 in dual boot con W7 circa una settimana fa ed ho cominciato ad utilizzarlo cercando eventuali soluzioni qui sul forum.
Ho provveduto ad installare gli aggiornamenti e proprio dopo l'ultimo aggiornamento al riavvio mi viene richiesta la login al tty1, di cosa si tratta?
Se non faccio nulla la richiesta sparisce dopo circa un minuto ed il sistema si avvia normalmente o almeno credo, ma vorrei sapere se è corretto e se fosse eventualmente possibile in qualche modo
fargli saltare questa richiesta.

la tty1 è la shell che puoi aprire con control+alt+f1, classico schermo nero da cui digitare comandi :°D per tornare all'ambiente grafico si preme alt+f7 (o f8)
ma se si avvia normalmente non capisco perchè ti richiede il login lì. puoi postare cosa ti dice esattamente?

Dunque, questo è quanto succede:

-Avvio del PC
-Selezione di UBUNTU tramite GRUB

A questo punto lo schermo diventa nero, passa qualche secondo e compare il seguente messaggio:

Ubuntu 13.10 <nome-computer> tty1
<nome-computer> login:


passano trenta secondi ed il sistema completa l'avvio presentandomi il desktop.

Esatto, anche a me chiede la stessa cosa, ho il dual boot con Seven. E' perfettamente normale, e se non sbaglio è considerabile anche come modalità d'emergenza, perché una volta usai quel login per risolvere problemi tramite comando (stile terminale).

sì ma quella schermata la richiami quando vuoi tu con control+alt+f1, non la devi vedere e usare per forza prima del login grafico.

è esattamente quello che ho pensato anche io, ottimo che si possa usare in caso di emergenza ma che senso ha che si presenti all inizio di una sessione "normale"?

Evidentemente c'è qualcosa che ritarda il caricamento di lightdm.
Riavvia il pc e appena riesci a loggarti posta il risultato di

Ho disconnesso la stampante , la richiesta di login è rimasta ma il tempo di attesa si è ridotto a circa 10 secondi contro i 30 di prima.

ho anche notato che alla chiusura della sessione prima dello spegnimento del PC compaiono alcune scritte sullo sfondo ma sono veloci a sparire e non sono riuscito a leggerle, se esiste
un modo per congelare il video il tempo necessario a prendere nota fatemelo sapere, magari possono tornare utili.
Come tentativo finale si potrebbe anche pensare di formattare e reinstallare, UBUNTU è installato da pochi giorni ed è praticamente pulito eventualmente scaricando una nuova immagine.
Magari questo risolve il problema però non sarebbe di grande aiuto per altri che dovessero incorrere in questa problematica in quanto non se ne conoscerebbe il motivo o almeno credo.

In questo secondo log non vedo nulla che giustifichi un ritardo nella partenza del desktop manager.

Che stampante hai? Forse installando i driver dal sito del produttore può aiutarci a risolvere il problema.

la stampante è una HP photosmart 8250, modello sicuramente non recente.

edit: ho scaricato dal sito di HP i driver per UBUNTU, spero siano quelli corretti.

installando i driver di HP la situazione è tornata quella precedente, che dite se provassi la soluzione di reinstallare tutto?

ed effettivamente il problema si è ripresentato ma credo, come già visto prima, che il problema sia proprio la stampante, eccovi in sintesi
la sequenza di operazioni effettuate:

1) formattazione partizioni e reinstallazione da zero, ad operazione conclusa il problema non si presenta
2) Installazione aggiornamenti, vari riavvii ed il problema non si presenta.
3) Installazione driver proprietari Nvidia per scheda GT630, riavvio ed il problema non si presenta.
4) Inserisco la USB della stampante, la accendo, viene riconosciuta nel senso che se apro un documento e chiedo di stampare la vede ma....ecco che al riavvio il problema
si ripropone, che sia un problema di driver? o forse la mia HP8250 è "strana" per quanto riguarda il mondo LINUX?.

lascio a voi ogni commento, il problema come già detto è fastidioso ma non bloccante quindi alla peggio senza una soluzione si può andare avanti lo stesso.

Puoi provare a mettere in blacklist il modulo usblp.
Se la stampante funziona anche senza quel modulo dovresti aver risolto.
