[risolto] cups: impossibile aggiungere stampanti

Oggi ho provato ad aggiungere la mia stampante a cups quindi ho fatto l'accesso a localhost:631 , ho cliccato su Administration -> add printer e mi esce questo messaggio senza nemmeno chiedermi l'autenticazione:

Non autorizzato
Digitare la username e la password oppure l'username di root e la password per accedere a questa pagina. Se si utilizza l'autenticazione Kerberos, assicurarsi di disporre di un ticket di Kerberos valido.

come si fa a dirgli di chiedere la password?
ho provato a dare apt-get purge cups e poi di nuovo apt-get install cups . ma non ho risolto. Evidentemente c'è qualcosa nella configurazione dell'autenticazione che non gli piace... ecco il mio cupsd.conf:

Inseriti come hai fatto i listati rendono il post troppo lungo e di difficile lettura.
In futuro incollali tra i tag [ code] e [ /code] che si creano cliccando su Codice in alto, sopra la finestra di scrittura (editor completo) così:

Correggi il post precedente cliccando su "modifica", poi seleziona il listato, clicca su Codice e salva

Ho risolto era il browser, usavo Chrome, usando Firefox funziona

Bene, allora modifica il titolo del primo post mettendoci davanti [Risolto].
