[Risolto] Problema configurazione ethernet

Buongiorno a tutti.
Ho da poco installato sul mio pc desktop la distribuzione Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (con l'intenzione di aggiornarla immediatamente all'ultima versione disponibile) in dual boot con Windows 8.1. L'installazione è avvenuta senza intoppi.
Il problema si è presentato quando ho avuto accesso al sistema: pur avendo collegato il mio router (Huawei BM2023w provider Linkem) via ethernet al pc (e non riscontrando nessun problema nella navigazione su sistema Windows), Ubuntu non riesce a collegarsi in rete. Ho provato i comandi ifconfig e pppoeconf e ho notato che il sistema non riconosce neanche la presenza della scheda ethernet. Ho cercato varie soluzioni su internet riguardo al problema, ma devo ammettere che, essendo nuovo ai sistemi Linux, non è che abbia compreso granchè. Entra nel BIOS; vedi se la scheda di rete ethernet è impostata su Disable; mettila su Enable; controlla WOL (Wake On Lan) sia impostato su Enable; salva le impostazioni, riavvia il portatile.

Ho attivato la voce Wake from onboard LAN, è l'unica simile che ho trovato. Ho effettuato nuovamente l'accesso, cosa devo fare ora?

Vedi se ora Ubuntu rileva correttamente la scheda di rete ethernet assegnando l'IRQ.

Mi sa che non si risolve niente, evidentemente la 12.04 non ha i driver per quella scheda di rete, inoltre stai usando il kernel 3.2 ormai obsoleto, scarica la 14.04 64bit e provala in LIVE.
