[Internet] CONNESSIONE INTERNET TRAMITE RETE LAN CON XP

Ciao! ho UBUNTU da pochi giorni, e sono riuscito a mettere in rete il fisso con ubuntu 6.10 e il portatile con windows XP. Il portatile al momento non vede il fisso, ma il fisso vede tutte le cartelle condivise di XP. A quanto ho capito devo installare "samba", ma non riesco a condividere la connessione internet che sta sul portatile (quello con XP). Come faccio? la connessione del portatile con xp è adsl con modem esterno usb.

Per installare samba devi lanciare questo comando

sudo apt-get install samba

ho inserito la stringa che mi hai detto, ma mi dice la seguente storiella:

Il pacchetto samba non ha versioni disponibili, ma è nominato da un altro pacchetto. Questo significa che il pacchetto manca, è diventato obsoleto o è disponibile solo all'interno di un'altra sorgente comunque il seguente pacchetto lo sostituisce: smbclient samba-common
e: il pacchetto samba non ha candidati da installare.

che faccio? ricordo che il pc con ubuntu non è connesso ad internet
