Xubuntu eccomi! ma ho un dubbio

Sto installando Xubuntu su questo Computer (vedi sotto il fdisk lanciato con il Live Cd)

Installero' nella /dev/sda2  al posto di Ubuntu 10.04
ma dal Live Cd non trovo le partizioni elencate sopra.
Ho letto che per montarle in maniera definitiva bisogna
modificare il file /etc/fstab aggiungendo delle righe di questo tipo...
/dev/sda1       /media/ubuntu   ext3    defaults        0       0

non ho capito bene e la ricerca sul forum ha dato scarsi elementi per approfondire questa faccenda del montaggio permanente delle partizioni.
