[RISOLTO] Errore CD repository

Devo installare il pacchetto "buidl-essential" per poter procedere all'installazione del mio modem USB Ericsson h120dp...

solo che quando aggiungo il CD nella lista dei repository (provato anche sudo apt-cdrom add) mi dice che non può montare in CD!! Qualcuno ha riscontrato lo stesso errore? praticamente non potrò mai accedere ad internet senza questa procedura perchè il modem non mi va altrimenti!!

Non so se ho masterizzato male il cd o è un errore già conosciuto....  :'(

e questo è l'errore che mi viene fuori quando faccio: apt-cdrom add

Perchè con la Alternate il CD è già di default un repestory nel sources.list

ho provato..

inserito nel repository list la stringa deb cdrom:Ubuntu 7.04 i386/

All'interno di Synaptic mi appare il cd-rom nella lista  dei Thirdparty... ma fatto sta che le "build-essential" di cui ho bisogno non mi appaiono ancora..

il successivo comando "apt-cdrom add" mi conferma ncora il messaggio failed to mount cdrom..

Ora non so più davvero cosa pensare.. nell'installazione di Edgy era andato tutto bene.. può essere che ci sia stato un errore nella masterizzazione??

prova a guardare in /etc/fstab per il cdrom

se la iso e' corrotta

md5sum /dev/hd*

dove "/dev/hd*" e' il device al quale corrisponde il tuo cdrom

mm...prova a fare sudo apt-get update da terminale (ti darà un pò di errori è normale) e poi vedi se c'è build-essential

Non è che ci capisca granchè... anzie direi proprio nulla!

apt-get update l'ho fatto prima ma non ci ho fatto caso...

Dite che è meglio che aspetti la versione finale??

OK e fin qui non è un problema

anche questo si può ignorare

mount: special device /dev/hdc does not exist

Qui non capisco...come hdc non esiste? Ubuntu come te lo vede il lettore CD-ROM?
comunque se vuoi installare build-essential

Adesso per tagliare la testa al toro formatto e re-installo..nella speranza che si risolva..

HO RISOLTO 

ho dovuto re-installare e tutto è andato come doveva andare...

probabilmente è successo un patatrack durante la prima fase di installazione. Ora devo solo scaricare 280 aggiornamenti!!
