So che l'argomento è ormai un best-seller in ogni distribuzione ubuntu ma prima di provare una delle strade presenti in giro per il forum volevo essere sicuro di ciò che faccio (l'ultima volta che ho provato a sistemare questa cosa è finita [url=http://"http://forum.ubuntu-it.org/viewtopic.php?t=74733"]male[/url].
Per cui, ho la sfortuna di avere una ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 e uno schermo widescreen 1280x800. Feisty ha attivato di suo i driver restricted per il 3D e invece i fglrx per la scheda.

Mi servirebbe un metodo pulito pulito per per settare la risoluzione giusta e per settare i driver giusti in previsione di compiz o beryl.. (b2b)

ma basta aggiungere 1280x800 allo xorg.conf..per tutte le profondita' di colore :-\..la frequenza sara' comunque la stessa
anche io ho un 1280x800 con una ati x1600

Ora aggiungo. E in previsione di compiz o beryl posso tenermi gli fglrx?

bhe certo..non conosco compiz ..ma beryl con gli fglrx funziona normalmente (piu' o meno)..basta usare pero' la sessione Xgl

E' sempre tutto più facile di quel che sembra insomma.. Farò come hai detto poi scrivò com'è andata. Nel frattempo ci sono 68 aggiornamenti..

per i font probabilmente e' questione di grandezza..non saprei (good)..ma non credo sia un problema sistemarli
