[RISOLTO][Compiz] Pixel d'errore

Salve, vi scrivo per sottoporvi questo mio problema che si verifica da dopo l'aggiornamento alla 9.10.
Sul mio schermo ci sono dei pixel, qua e la, che non dovrebbero esserci: per l'appunto quelli che io ho chiamato pixel d'errore.
Faccio qualche esempio: nel pannello ho l'iconcina della frequenza del microprocessore; i numeri che indicano la frequenza sono "sporcati" da alcuni pixel che invece di essere scuri (come lo sfondo) sono chiari e viceversa per altri pixel. Sempre a titolo di esempio, c'è una striscetta di pixel grigi attaccati alla parte inferiore del mio pannello. Pensando che fosse una finestra nascosta c'ho cliccato sopra (con estrema precisione essendo, come detto, una semplice e singola striscia di pixel), ma non succede nulla se non che tale stricia si modifica in lunghezza, si sdoppia o si raggruppa, a seconda dell'ordine e della posizione del click....bhò!?!
altri pixel compaiono sui contorni dei caratteri nel mezzo del desktop.
Se disabilito gli effetti (da "normal" passo a "none") allora questi pixel d'errore scompaiono......è per questo che mi è venuto in mente che possa dipendere da compiz.

....ok, ho un po' approfondito la situazione e credo che il problema sia il refresh rate......ce l'ho fisso a 60HZ con una risoluzione di 1280*800.
Ho un laptop HP con una ATI della famiglia HD 3*** (34 e qualcosa.....non ho il portatile con me e non ricordo), ho provato ad installare i driver proprietari sia da "Hardware Drivers", sia scaricandoli dal sito AMD, ma niente.
Fino alla 9.04 questo problema non si era mai verificato.
Sbaglio ad impuitare tale malfunzionamento al refresh rate?

davvero nessuno che gli venga un'idea......compiz o refresh rate? o cos'altro?
Il fatto è che il problema è pure difficile da cercare a parole semplici......sotto pixel d'errore non ho trovato nulla.
che cerco? pixel sporchi? oppure pixel rincogl......!?!? :-\

perche secondo te il problema e legato refresh rate?
a vederlo cosi mi sembra un problema legato a compiz dato che se lo disattivi i pixel scompaiono...non e che riesci a fare uno screenshot?

Ciao e grazie,
il dobbio sul refresh rate mi era venuto perchèce l'ho fisso a 60 hz e in giro sul forum internazionale ho visto che questo sembra essere un problema delle ATI.
Comunque si, è vero, se disabilito compiz niente più pixel zozzi.
stasera tornato a casa, provo a postare un po' di screenshot.

le frecce rosse indicano le zone in cui i pixel "sfarfallano".
Ti assicuro che, qua e la, il mio monitor ne è pieno.
Ripeto, con compiz disabilitato (esclusione effetti grafici da System>Preferences>Apparence) risulta andare tutto bene.

credo di "vedere" il problema...
cmq non ho mai sentito nulla di simile prima...come detto non credo che sia un problema legato di refresh perche il valore di 60 a quella risoluzione mi sembra normale per un portatile(anche io ho un portatile ed ho il refresh fisso a 60).Riesci a ripescare le discussioni sul forum internazionale di cui hai accennato?

no, quei pixel che ti ho fatto vedere no.
La striscia di pixel che si muove, si spezza e si ricompone (lo so, sembra il desktop di un indemoniato!) è quella sotto il panel superiore.......e mi compare sempre in alto a destra (come nell'immagine di seguito), ed in basso a sinistra.

come puoi vedere è una striscia di pixel dello stesso colore del panel che, ad essere precisi, "rompe" l'ombregiatura del panel sul desktop caratteritica degli effetti grafici anche di quelli normali (il mio caso). Anche in questo caso, il problema scompare disabilitando tali effetti.

Per il discorso del refresh rate è probabile che sia stata una mia pippa mentale, mi pareva solo strano che fosse fisso a 60 mhz, mi pareva che prima ce l'avessi + alto.
Comunque grazie x l'aiuto, ti ripeto, è anche difficile stabilire, per questo problema, una stringa di ricerca adeguata da inserire nei forum.

ho risolto!

Ho reinstallato tuttttttoooooooooooo!
Ed vi giuro, ho provato quasi la stessa sensazione che ho provato nel passare da Windows a Ubuntu!
In breve:

- il problema dei pixel "zozzi", motivo del mio post, è scomparso. Ora viene visualizzato tutto correttamente,

- tutti quei bugs fix ai quali ero dovuto ricorrere un anno fa (credo con la hardy) per far funzionare il mio portatile (tipo le casse, la regolazione della luminosità ecc.....) sono stati effettivamente "fixati"....Ora funziona tutto appena terminata l'installazione. Direte ovvio....per me non lo era!

- il tempo di accensione (e lo misuro da quando premo il dito sul tasto di accensione fino a quando posso muovere la freccetta del mouse) è passato da 1 minuto e 45 secondi dell'upgrade a Karmic a 44 secondi della reinstallazione completa di Karmic. (e questo sarebbe stato, ben presto, motivo di un altro post......anche se in giro per il forum mi pare di aver incontrato qualcun altro che abbia combattuto con il boot lento dopo l'aggiornamento a karmic)

- tutte le operazioni sono davvero più veloci.

Insomma: reinstallate, reinstallate, reinstallate!

Una nota negativa: una volta (mentrre scrivo queste righe ad esempio l'ho cercato di nuovo, ma niente) mi è ricomparso l'errore relativo a fglrx, ma , a questo punto, non riesco a capire quale sia l'effetto!....
Quindi, credo di poter mettere risolto.
