mettendo in withe list gli fglrx e abilitando il composite riesco a visualizzare aiglx = present..ma di fatto il desk si sbianca..forse non tutte le schede sono supportate per ora..(infatti i driver ufficiali sono gli 8.40 non a caso..credo)

Alla fine va abbastanza bene. Solo che lo scrolling delle pagine web è leeeento e si prende parecchia cpu...però ho attivato l'accelerazione EXA!

Eahm ragazzi mi postate il vostro Xorg? A me funzionano bene ma non sono riuscito ad attivare compiz  >:(

Provata su una X700. Vanno bene, Compiz però va piano soprattutto rallena lo scrolling delle pagine web. Adesso provo a vedere se è colpa di qualche plug-in. Ah, funziona anche l'accelerazione EXA!

Ok ragazzi, attivati su una mobility adeon X600, funzionano a meraviglia, prestazioni mediamente superiore a XGL.

Allora, il problema è che compiz ha in blacklist le nostre schede, per ovviare a ciò dovete:

Localizzate le righe e commentate come quì sotto:

Questo messaggio ti dice che non è presente nella whitelist, vedi la sezione nel mio post precedente. Non conosco la scheda però, potresti provare ad aggiungere fglrx e vedere se ti funziona

Su Ati Radeon Xpress 200m funziona tutto, compiz e AIGLX compresi... MA DA SCHIFO!!!! QUESTI DRIVERS NON DOVEVANO RILASCIALI!! ALLA ATI SONO SOLO DEI BUFFONI!! Compratevi una Nvidia voi che potete, io la ati ce l'ho nel portatile e non posso farci niente! Basta dare fiducia a chi non l'ha MAI meritata!!!

Una breve lista delle cose FONDAMENTALI (e per FONDAMENTALI intendo cose di cui CHIUNQUE usi un computer non può fare a meno) che non funzionano:

Con AIGLX abilitato:

1) lo scrolling di firefox diventa una croce --> firefox è inutilizzabile
2)i video funzionano solo in fullscreen.. ma vi rendete conto??
3)i video in fullscreen, appena si muove i mouse, cominciano a saltare tipo discoteca.
2)+3) non si possono più guardare i filmati in modo decente
4)Torcs e probabilmente anche altri giochi funziono anche loro tipo discoteca se in fullscreen.. voi direte, non usarli in fullscreen ma..
5)Cambiare qualunque impostazione grafica nei giochi causa il TOTALE freeze del sistema

Non vi basta? Tenete presente che il problema 5 rimane anche senza AIGLX, e che quindi in pratica i driver 8.37 funzionano meglio di questi, e che non c'è UN SOLO MOTIVO PER INSTALLARLI. Volete AIGLX funzionante? Accomodatevi, e preparati a soffrire.. Volete migliori prestazioni nei giochi? Provate pure, io vi ho avvertito..

Che tristezza...
