BackTrack 4, wicd e wireless

Salve a tutti,
ho appena installato BackTrack 4 su una chiavetta USB.
Giustamente, non riesco a connettermi alle reti wireless.
Wicd mi dice: No wireless network found.
e anche il terminale ogni tanto mi ricorda che
Posto qui di seguito i risultati di vari comandi che mi pare siano pertinenti:
...mmh... ok non riesco a far funzionare il bottone per inserire il codice (e neanche le faccette, tra l'altro).
Mi dispiace ma allora copierò il tutto direttamente qui, anche se credo non si dovrebbe fare.

Ecco qui, qualcuno ha qualche idea per far funzionare il wireless?
tra l'altro, da cavo ethernet funziona tutto alla grande.
