tutto funzionava bene, ma ad un certo punto si è piantato tutto e non ho potuto neppure arrestare il sistema; ho dovuto resettare, andare in recovery mode e poi ripartire.
è successo a qualcun altro?

stavolta sono ripartito con ctrl alt backspace
mah!!!

il problema continua anche dopo aver scaricato gli ultimi aggiornamenti (2.6 ore 6.45 )
al boot funziona tutto, infatti vi sto scrivendo ed ho potuto aggiornare, quando tento di arrestare il sistema il pulsante non funziona e non funziona più niente, neppure il terminale
da cosa dipenderà?

1.non ho abilitato effetti glx, nè compiz o beryl; solo l'accelerazione 3d.

2. hardware: processore atlhon amd 1800; 1G ram; 2hd ide di 80 giga ciascuno: nel primo convivono xp e gutsy, nel secondo c'è solo feisty; scheda grafica nvidia geforce 7400 con 256ram, uso i driver nvidia; 1 hd esterno usb iomega da 20giga; 1 stampante/scanner hp psc 1600; monitor lcd philips wide da 20.

Con l'ultimo aggiornamento è successa anche a me una cosa simile.
Funziona tutto, solo che quando decido che è ora di spegnere si pianta Gnome.
Sia se premo il tasto di accensione, sia se vado dal Menù -> Esci, si freeza Gnome.
Unica soluzione Ctrl + Alt + BkSpc e poi arresta dalla schermata di login.
Fino al prossimo aggiornamento mi sa che userò Feisty...

Quando decido di uscire: Sistema ----->Esci, devo attendere circa 1' per poter ottenere la scelta di spegnere il computer.Resto tutto OK.
Manca anche l'icona "Iberna".

Hai ragione, non si blocca, solo è molto lento a presentare la maschera di arresto.
50 secondi circa.
Sia col tasto di alimentazione sia col Menù -> Esci.

non avevo apettato tutto quel tempo!!!

Confermo,a me avverte che la batteria e' rotta o malfunzionante mentre va benissimo

Fate una prova, giusto per vedere se non è la magagna che avevo io, disabilitate lo splash screen da grub, cioè tirate via le parole:

quindi provate a spegnere e riaccendere più volte, sul mio avevo un problema simile, a volte non si spegneva proprio..

Anche a me il gestore dell'autonomia fa i capricci.
Non mi dice quanta autonomia residua ho.

Lo risolveranno ho letto gli stessi problemi in altri forum internazionali
