Installazione XCALIB

Ciao a tutti,
Io, da buon fotografo, uso Bibble Pro sotto ambiente linux, tuttavia ho le necessità di profilare il monitor in modo corretto (per ora reperisco i profili icc da windozz dove uso un calibratore elettronico).
Bene.. scopro che esiste Xcalib, un programma che permette di profilare il monitor con profili gia creati.

Qui iniziano i problemi. Devo scaricare le librerie..
Tuttavia xlibs-dev non risulta disponibile.....
ecco che mi da l'applicazione:

Scompatto Xcalib-0.8 e faccio "make xalib"... ma non mi crea l'eseguibile.
Provo gli altri comandi suggeriti dal testo "readme" che dice questo:

The bundled Makefile should work on most systems. It is very simple
and doesn't use automake/autoconf stuff. Therefore you and I (the
author) save time writing fancy autoconf/automake tests. One of the
following commands should lead you to a working version of xcalib:
$ make xcalib
$ make win_xcalib
$ make fglrx_xcalib
For most UNIX-based systems the default version of xcalib should
work. It only uses the XVidMode-Extension. The following command
creates the executable:
$ make xcalib
The Win32 version was made with and tested for MinGW. Since most
users do not have a running MinGW environment, a binary executable is
provided. To compile it on your own, the following command creates a
working Win32-build (tested with MSys):
$ make win_xcalib
For ATI's proprietary FGLRX driver for X11, a special version can be
built. Issue the command
$ make fglrx_xcalib

Perchè? che devo fare? Non so minimamente dove andar a sbattere la testa....

Il pacchetto xlibs-dev non ha versioni disponibili, ma è nominato da un altro
pacchetto. Questo significa che il pacchetto manca, è diventato obsoleto
o è disponibile solo all'interno di un'altra sorgente
E: Il pacchetto xlibs-dev non ha candidati da installare
