come fare a scaricare aMule? ho letto le discussioni ma non ci riesco....

un post diceva di usare "sudo apt-get install amule" e in questo modo si sarebbe installato aMule, ma non ha funzionato.
mi è venuto un dubbio... e fare sudo apt-cache search aMule? nessun risultato!!!! Ma come fare per trovarlo ed installarlo?
Uso ubuntu 6.04 può essere questo il problema?

è più facile che il tuo problema sia qualche repository non abilitato visto che ho controllato per sicurezza ma il pacchetto per la tua versione.
I repository che lo contengono sono gli universe, forse non li hai abilitati, posta il tuo file /etc/apt/sources.list se non sai come controllare.
Ps: Se vuoi aggiungerli da solo trovi le istruzioni qui:
http://wiki.ubuntu-it.org/Repository Altrimenti come detto sopra facci sapere

Poi da shell dai
ti ho aggiunto tutti i repository universe e multiverse e visto che hai una versione vecchia anche i backports.
Può darsi che dopo che hai fatto le modifiche sopra tu trovi diversi aggiornamenti, vai tranquillo è normale.
A questo punto tra i pacchetti da installare troverai anche amule (e se ti era capitato di non trovare altri programmi ora salteranno fuori anche quelli)

E' normale che non ci siano, devi aggiornarli da una lista online, ad esempio leggi qui

In ogni caso ricorda di usare anche la rete kad, che forse è già impostata di default, lo stato dei server lo vedi nel piccolo riquadro in basso a destra, dovrebbe segnare un server connesso e poi kad ok perchè vada tutto bene.
Se hai bisogno di altro per i server cerca pure con google "server amule" o anche "server emule" visto che funzionano in modo analogo e si attaccano agli stessi server.
