Risolto un problema ne esce un altro. Si blocca dopo il log

Ciao a tutti,
ho appena risolto un problema riguardo l'avvio di ubuntu che me ne esce un altro. Arrivato sulla schermata in cui effettuare il log, inserisco user e password, parte la musica di ingresso in ubuntu ma si blocca sula schermata marroncina. Non mi mostra il desktop, il mouse si muove ma non fa nulla. L'unica cosa che funziona è il pulsante dell'accenzione del pc che se premuto fa partire la procedura di chiusura di ubuntu e di spegnimento del pc.

Che posso fare?

Non conosco gnome solo Kde ma sembra corrotto un file di gnome-session. Una possibilità è di fare un altro utente genuino

HELP... ho un problema serio...quando cerco di installare un programm andando su aggiungi/rimuovi---> mi compare il seguente errore

Vuol dire che non puoi loggarti con ctrl+alt+F1 o che si blocca al login? Ii comandi dmesg e cat /var/log/messages possono servire per la diagnosi, ma sono cose al di sopra i miei livelli.

quando do crt+alt+F1 il log lo fa.
ho creato un altro utente e messo come amministratore ma comunque anche su questo si blocca dopo aver fatto il login e mandata la musichina di ingrasso.

ATI? Oramai mi sto facendo una cultura pure su queste schede, sempre usato Nvidia, ma sto usando il portatile di mio fratello momentaneamente. Stai usando i driver fglrx o gli ati aperti? Si blocca a causa di AiGLX e Compiz probabilmente.

Non ho una ATI, ho una NVidia.
Si ho Compiz attivato, con gli effetti grafici 4 screenlet (orologio,due fiori e una cornice con foto) in più ho anche AWN.
Forse è troppa roba? Ma anche sull'utente nuovo si blocca e quello non ha nulla rispetto alle impostazione di default

Dal log xsession (meno male che capitavo uno che s'intende meglio di me...) che il problema sono le librerie gtk ovvero il loro richiamo improprio. Ma dici che prima andava, se avevi attivati compiz ecc? Cosa avevi fatto l'ultima volta che andava, installazioni?

Sempre per tentativi: quei  processi 5471  e  5475 cosa  erano? Forse viene attivato un processo durante il boot che non dovrebbe esserci in quel momento?

L'interfaccia grafica si trova nel settimo (cielo): ctrl+alt+F7
che significa: Cioè ritentare il login, dopo vai a vedere  i due processi nominati  in xsession-errors e  cerchi  di identificarli con comando di prima. Se riesci puoi provare di ucciderli con sudo kill [numero] e vedere si funziona il login dopo...
